but WHY is Lewis worse than Massa. In 2007 beat his bottom and 2008 was very close but Lewis won.

Because I think Lewis won 2007 not due to his driving skills, but Ferrari screwing-up skills.

No way is Massa better than Hamilton. With Kimi on the outs, Hamilton is the outright fastest man in F1. Massa is decent, but nothing special.

he maybe the fastest but not the best

Alonso is the best. But Massa is not better than Lewis, not even close.

I'll make my list using your position numbers, Juliet.
Just as matter of comparison :D

1->5. Vettel (I'm considering his GREATTTT potential)
2->1. Alonso
3->4. Massa (I know many people will say I'm being biased)
4->9. Kubica (sooooooooooo underestimated here)
5->2. Hamilton
6->6. Button (I used to rate Button higher than Hamilton, but I'm not sure anymore, let's check next year...if they get same conditions, of course!)
7->3. Raikkonen (sooooooooooo overestimated here)
8->10. Rosberg
9->8. Webber
10->13. Heidfeld
11->7. Barrichello
12->11. Kovaleinen
13->12. Glock
14->19. Kobayashi (I know we haven't seen enough, that's exactly why I rate him highly)
15->15. Fisichella
16->17. Trulli
17->14. Buemi
17->16. Sutil
18->20. Liuzzi
19->21. Piquet Jr(Considering he had no work conditions at Renault, I think I not able to rate him)
21->22. Grosjean(almost the same as Piquet, even though I think he got better conditions at Renault, but he had no time to get used to the car)
22->18. Bourdais
23->24. Badoer
24->23. Nakajima

Hamilton 5th :yikes: Nah,thats just poo poo. Im strugglinhg to understand 2nd but FIFTH!!!

Vettel 1st is an incredible leap of faith too.

Hamilton is not better than Alonso, they are probably the best two drivers but Alonso has the edge. It may just be slight, but it's there.

There's nothing to suggest Massa is any better than Button. Massa was a no-mark before he had the Ferrari. At least Button is a consistent scorer, when Massa has an off day (And he has quite a few) he is useless.

You all talk crap :rolleyes: Massa had 2 mechanical retirements in 2008, as well as 2 botched pit stops during races (both of which put him last place) Whilst Lewis had one botched pit stop, which just cost him 2 places. Yet Lewis only won by one point.

Massa lost tonnes of points in 2008 through mechanical failures and team errors. Lewis lost points through driver errors. What makes the better driver? :wink:

The top drivers in my opinion are, Vettel, Massa, Hamilton, Alonso. But you simply can't rank them. Different drivers will always do better in different cars. F1 is very much a team game. I mean, Lewis would be Massa in a Ferrari, but Massa would beat Lewis in a Ferrari. If anyone had raced against Alonso in Renault, they'd have lost. It's just how things go.

Alonso prolly has the upper hand when we're talking about car improvement and car setup. Lewis might be faster and has better connection with the team, so the "best driver" is not the "fastest" driver. At the moment Alonso's experience probably gives him the advantage. Lewis though, has the biggest potential to become the best imo
