Piquet wont ever get another F1 seat just because of the simple fact he dobbed on his old employer in an act of vengeance. Its like having used work cover for an injury that forever tarnishes your future job hopes.

That would be the common sense way of thinking. But now when you think it the other way round.

Q1: How did P. Jr get to F1?
A1: with Daddy's money

Q2: What do new teams, or old teams, such as Renault who lost main sponsors need?
A2: Money.

Q3: How do you get money and sponsorships for a new or small F1 team?
A3: Hire drivers who can pay for their seat.

Q4: who's still got money to pay for his son's F1 seat?
A4: P Sr.

So if the worst case comes true, little P will be driving a Renault 2010. Or even Brazil this year.

Q5: what do teams need?
A5: results

Q6: can NP jr deliver results (for himself)?

A6 No, but hes a really good team player.

Despite its anticipated sponsor carrying a whiter-than-white name, Formula One debutant Manor Grand Prix has admitted that it would consider running Nelson Piquet Jr in its first season, despite the disgraced Brazilian being centrally involved in the race-fixing scandal affecting last year's Singapore GP.

Team owner John Booth told the local Yorkshire Post newspaper that he hoped to be able to finalise his driver line-up by the middle of November, with Piquet's name being thrown into the mix alongside Britons Anthony Davidson and Adam Carroll, and former Red Bull driver Christian Klien, despite Booth admitting that he had yet to speak to the former Renault pilot.

The FIA gave Piquet Jr immunity from sanction in the Singapore affair after he confirmed suspicions that the outcome of the race had been manipulated when he was asked to crash out in the early laps. Team boss Flavio Briatore and engineering director Pat Symonds have both been handed lengthy bans from motorsport after being deemed guilty of orchestrating the incident.

"I've not spoken to him at the moment, but he's a smashing little driver," Booth said of the former GP2 Series runner-up, "I've no personal problems with him, but it is unclear what his current position is with regards sponsorship."

Booth also confirmed that he he had begun to discuss possible drives with the other candidates being linked to his squad.

"We have spoken to Christian, but nothing more, and I've had a chat with Anthony Davidson," he noted, "Meanwhile, Adam is a driver we rate very highly, and we have held talks with him. It's amazing the amount of quality drivers that are out there."

Booth also confirmed that work is underway not only on the team's first Cosworth-powered F1 car - which is being designed and built in conjunction with former Simtek owner/designer Nick Wirth - but also an extension to the team's facilities on the outskirts of Sheffield.

Meanwhile, the same report also claims that the anticipated deal with current Brawn backer Virgin is due to be announced around the time of the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The deal could see the team renamed Virgin F1, will provide not only much-needed finance for the 2010 season, but also the secondment of senior Virgin employees to help with team management.

Formula 1 sponsor Virgin has dismissed any suggestion that it could play a part in helping Nelson Piquet back to the sport - after rumours that the Brazilian could be on the shortlist for the new Manor Grand Prix team.

Virgin is set to take title sponsorship of Manor for the start of next season and comments made by team owner John Booth about Piquet were interpreted by some to suggest that the Brazilian could make an F1 comeback with the new team.

However, Alex Tai, the Virgin board member responsible for group sponsorship who is set to become team boss when the lifestyle brand confirms its involvement with Manor, made it clear in Singapore on Friday that his company would never be associated with a driver who had broken the rules.

Speaking to AUTOSPORT in the paddock, Tai said he was not in a position to confirm Virgin's future relationship with Manor – but said that Piquet could never be associated with the brand.

"We will make our plans known after the end of the season," said Tai. "I don't believe it is professional to in any way talk about our plans while we are sponsoring another team this year, namely Brawn - who happen to be leading both championships and who I personally believe will win the championships.

"However, what I can say, is that as a director of the main board of Virgin, I can assure you that we would never have anybody in a team sponsored by us who cheats."

I think Manor would be better off picking a pair of British drivers, to be honest. Davidson, Carroll, Paffet and di Resta all deserve F1 seats.

Pardon me...I read the article about the Virgin prohibiting Piquet in Manor, then I probably opened an old window and pasted the wrong article.
But that was I meant..Virgin are not going to link to a cheating driver...that's why I said:
