Legard pffft, i'm listening intently to EJ's predictions from now on. :hehe:

jeez that longer wheelbase chasis don't half stick out

The new shorter chassis is supposed to help out at the high speed circuits of Spa and Monza :)

Now, this i don't get - back in 2007, Ferrari had a longer wheelbase car than McLaren and (according to the likes of Brundle) it was a large part in their ability to dominate circuits with fast corners, eg Silverstone whereas the McLaren was very good at Monaco. The difference in wheelbase length was basically nil in 2008 and it showed i guess... anyway, in light of that does anyone know why they think a shorter wheelbase would benefit them, especially at a place like Spa? :scratchchin:

It beats me - seems counterintuitive.

I was actually thinking the exact same thing when i first read the news. My guess is that the wheelbase change may have more to do with the Aero side of things or maybe the car is simply to long for any circuit and making the wheelbase shorter which give it a general performance boost no matter what track.

[EDIT] Didn't make it clear when i first wrote this post. A car with a shorter wheel base will be mechanically better at slow corners because it can turn in better where a car with a longer wheelbase would have more stability in the high speed corners. I think it's either aero or the fact that the car wheel base is just too long full stop.

HaHa Luca got fined 4 times on Friday for speeding in the pitlane maybe he thought thats where he needed to be fast rather than on the track :P

I still think I should be on that BEEBS coverage. :hehe: I can write blogs like Jake about random bike rides up country meadows...

If I was in charge (And, god willing, some day I will be) I'd give you a job

Those Force Indias have definitely improved lately, I think Hungary was just a blip. I think they'll at least both get through to Q2 today but, honestly, I'm actually thinking Q3 and points could be on the cards with this kind of pace.

Brawn GP going to walk away from Red Bull is my prediction for race day...

Jenson Button will for sure increase his lead after this weekend....

I think if I was Ferrari I would be asking Flavio for Piquets number

Yep, i said that all along, and a few people are saying it now. I would love Piques to beat the Renault's lol

Badoer is woeful. If Ferrari feel they want to reward their test drivers and just do the sentimental thing, maybe they should have hired Villeneuve for a few races and get some publicity out of that.
