Why was his gearbox changed? Did it just break or was it as a result of the crash?

EDIT- It was the crash, I found out. :(

Damn Damn Damn !! What a race to make a mistake!! His best track! Well there goes my prediction for a podium :( Unles it pours with rain or theres a ten car pile up at the first corner.

ps. Nothing like Jacques Vileneuve DD..nothing like :nono:

You can't say nothing like. The Formula One story of Hamilton has several similarities to that of Villeneuve, if you consider it.

no there's just two he won the title i his 2nd year and now he's having a bad year because of the car.

So you can only say there's only one since the car isn't really lewis is it

I've seen it before i think its a stupid comparison.

I mean if Lewis wins tommrow  does that mean hes suddenly like Paninis and is never gonna win again?

#1: Comes in to the sport highly-rated having just dominated his previous series.
#2: Nearly wins the title in his first year.
#3: Wins the title in his second year, having been driven in to by a Ferrari driver (albeit not in the final round of the championship).
#4: Enters his defending season in a sub-par car.

What happens from now on will determine whether or not there are any more similarities.

I would actually be interested in seeing if JV could race decently with next year's regulations, to be honest.

what the hell is going on? comparing Lewis to Villenueve is alright by you guys??? but anyone comparing him to Senna isnt? :banghead::wink:

in all honesty i dont see how the career path of JV has anything to do with Lewis. McLaren will be back and the only thing stopping Lewis from defending his title has been his car.
so why not compare Williams to McLaren? thats the x factor involved in this!

I never said comparing him to Senna wasn't alright, however I can't make that comparison. ;)

Senna didn't get a top rank car at his disposal in his 1st season - for reference, neither did Kimi or Fernando.

However both Hamilton & Villeneuve did.

& that Jenson Button. (sort off)
