just shows that his car was SIGNIFICANTLY better than the rest

Except that was only the case for part of this season...

...and for the rest of the season Button wasn't exactly shining :whistling:

is nico the number 1 driver or the 1st one signed?

I don't think it's been confirmed but most reports are suggesting that Rosberg will be their no.1 and Heidfeld is their likely 2nd driver, he's still yet to sign.

buttons in a good place, hes most likely to only be a number 2 in a team like mclaren or ferrari, thre are too many drivers better than him to be the number one

and he definitly isnt in the same league as vettel, alonso lewis

its either be the number one in a smaller lower paying and less likely to win team or be number 2 in a more reliable, better paying team

hes chosen option 2

Is he in a good place?

I don't think Button is in a good place with Nico coming to the team,no way in hell does it look like a good place. Nico is German,we know Mercedes is German, this is what they have been waiting for, they have never had a home driver winning the WDC in a Mercedes. I would say that Button knows very well how next season at brawn is going to pan out,Mercedes will have a championship winning car with a well know German driver who is very sellable in Germany and the world.

Button would have number one on his car in all but name. McLaren will be an all British team and Brawn will be an all German team, what a great set up for Mercedes and both teams, everyone comes out laughing.

Rosberg is overrated.

Rosberg is overrated.

I don't know if I agree with that statement; I think that we haven't seen enough of him to rate him; now if Rubens gets in the Williams next year and runs rings around Rosberg in the Brawn; that'll be a good indicator of how good Rosberg really is. I believe he's a talented driver but nowhere near as good as another German, Vettel for example!

Ross is still churning out those £250 BGP coats...

Anyways, they're not going to do much next season, they were hardly organised last year and with yet more change and a new driver line-up I doubt MercGP will be in contention for at least 2 seasons unless Rosberg does something.

He's been in F1 for 4 years now. While he's shown that he is a great driver, he hasn't shown that he is in the same league as Alonso and Hamilton as everyone keeps on saying.

Thats a fair assessment really.

I mean We've seen Alonso and Lewis in bad cars and they have put them where they should not belong.

Podiums and Wins....

But Rosberg has been in a Average car for 4 years and not done anything spectacular, but hes not been terrible either so good driver but not great.

I agree with you on that he isn't in the same league as Alonso and Hamilton; it's just a fact that German drivers tend to be overrated because they are always looking for the next Michael Schumacher, he still has a lot of prove in my opinion; and the new Mercedes team will be an excellent opportunity to prove himself!

I agree. I think the reported Rosberg & Heidfeld line up will work excellently.

edit: congrats on becoming a babysit... err I mean mod. :D
