- 10 Feb 11, 17:18#23885013:13 Some more insight into Webber's stint:
Rather than his times dropping off after the first laps, he got faster, increased pace steadily over the first 10 laps, then decreased slightly towards the end: 25.1, 24.3, 23.8, 23.7, 23.5, 23.5, 23.4, 23.1, 23.0, 23.9, 23.1, 23.2, 26.6, 23.0, 23.3, 23.5, 24.1, 24.7.
His average of 1m23.864s was inflated by the single 1m26s lap. Will keep an eye out for other leading teams when they attempt similar runs.
Good insight as to just how long the tyres appear to be holding on for on that Red Bull. Meanwhile the times from a 14 lap stint for Rosberg paint quite a bleak picture:
28.1, 23.9, 23.9, 24.4, 24.5, 24.3, 24.6, 25.0, 26.2, 25.4, 25.3, 26.1, 26.0, 25.7
This was right before he stopped, so either the problem gradually slowed him down or those tyres started going off immediately... or he was on old tyres (but that wouldn't make much sense).
And here, an (annoying) comparison i found between the Red Bull and Ferrari. The RB is so damn compact at the rear end, apparently because of a much shorter but wider fuel tank...

Rising number one of Formula 1, Juan - Juan, one wonders should Juan only win one Formula 1 one year, would Juan have won that one in round one, Juan??
