Hello all,

Im new to this site but have posted highly regarded posts on other f1 forums before.

2011 is looking to be an interesting year but will Fernando Alonso Diaz be able to get his 3rd crown and another ace on his Helmet? He will be up against stiff oposition from the likes of Jenson Button MBE and Michael schumacher as well as Defending world champion Vettel. Fernando is widely regarded to be the most complete driver on the grid so I would expect him to get up to speed with the new rules faster than his rivals. Interesting year indeed.

I will stick to the RECORD which is.....FA has not won a title since Lewis showed up!!!!

So I'm sure Lewis will crash his party in 2011 once more!

Lets see if he can beat Massa first!

Ferrari team-mate Fernando Alonso said the Pirellis are different to the tyres on which he almost won the drivers' championship last year. "We'll know more at the next test in Valencia, which will be very interesting. My style of driving will definitely have a little change [for 2011]."

There can be no predicting F1 at the moment. We have, by far, the best lineup of drivers ever in top cars. Vettel, Webber, Hamilton, Button, Alonso, Schumacher, Kubica...The list goes on. That's easily more than half a dozen, possibly as many as a full dozen drivers with the ability and the equipment to mount a championship challenge. It would be very unwise to try and call the winner from this stage. We'll probably still be guessing in October...Probably even in November.

While doing my trying best to ignore your second line,

I would say the most formidable competitor you fearfully left out will be taking this year and 'Mr Diaz' will have to wait for his retirement to get his 3rd crown.

Hint: His middle name is Carl. :D

Are you talking about Karthikeyan, Hammer?

Jackyboy...I didn't know Karthikeyans middle name is 'Carl'. My sincere apologies.

(and equal to Hamilton) Fillipe Massa

Are you serious?

In my opinion they were very equal at 2008, you can ask to Glock if you don’t remember, he could explain it to you better than me, Bud.

So if we take 2007 as well into account, we can safely conclude that Lewis, Alonso and Massa are all equal calibre drivers.

I hope everyone can live with that.

Well Hammer, you perfectly know that at 2007 Alonso was just the second driver at McLaren, just behind the Wonder boy. And as you know Lewis won the title for…………..eh wait, It was Raikkonen who won the title, I’m sorry I was thinking about…..yes, he almost won the title, just a couple of mistakes at the last races. Nonetheless, it wasn’t a bad year for him taking into account that he is a Roockie. Bad luck, only that, bad luck.

Yes I am fully aware Alonso was the 2nd best in McLaren in Hamiltons rookie year. Quite an embarassment, but all drivers have their 'offseasons'.

But following yours and the newcomers' theory, we should safely conclude these 3 drivers are all on the same level. That's my point.
