There's no protest. Its media lies. McLaren & Ferrari confirmed there was no protest.. Ferrari said they wont pursue anything & Red Bull think it will be legal.
Not a big deal at all.

That's the way I read it too!
It's just a rear wing. If it is better and gives a little more top speed others can just copy it I guess. Of course if copying it in a hurry isn't that easy, then the FIA must deam it illegal because McLaren cannnot be allowed to win. Good idea Redbull dragged Ferrari into this. That way if it needed to be banned, then Todt can do just that.

Ferrari are not invovled Mclaren have spoken to them and its turned out its just RBR stirring it.
But 6mph is a big advantage especialy in Bahrain with its 3 straights

typical AKR logic
Doesn't look to dissimilar to any of the others.......

you're right. And if it is slightly different, doesn't look like something that cannot be copied in a hurry. Thus if this is the case can't see why Redbull is having a fuss over it?
Gee I can't believe I just defended McLaren.
You can see the slit in the middle of it quite clearly, well that's what I think I'm seeing. So I guess its the same principle to produce more downfoce that Ferrari are rumoured to be using for their DDD (only Ferrari have a slit on the diffuser itself).
