It is a World Championship, just because they are based in the UK does not mean what flag they fly

Mclaren - UK
Ferrari - Italy
Mercedes - Germany
Williams - UK
Force India - India
Renault - French
USF1 - US
Compos - Spain
Sauber - Swish
Red Bull - Austria
Torro Rosso - Italy
Lotus - UK and Malaysia
Virgin - UK

Assuming Virgin will be porwered by Cosworth, then that is the only full British team. McLaren is powered by GERMAN Mercedes, Williams was Toyota (Sorry I forgot who they will have now, was it Renault or Cosworth?) Well if it is Cosworth then you can put Williams with Virgin GP as a full British team. If the Italian teams don't win, then hopefully it will be the full German team that does it and if not them, then the Austrian team followed by the Swiss team (Although I would prefer Sauber second to Ferrari because it will have Ferrari power) and then the Spanish team.

What have you got against British teams? Is it their record of dominance in motorsport that you dislike?

All teams are extremely high tech, which means they'll all make use of the best talent available and there is no one country that has that. Of course some have more than others, but teams know perfectly well to do their best to avoid squabbles over nationality.

Anyway, we will see if mclaren dominate.

Nothing. Don't know where you assume this. Just because they are not on top of my list doesn't been I do not like them. Only team I do not like is McLaren. Williams are ok and they are British and also far more British than Kiwi founded McLaren. And in relation to dominance, Italian team Ferrari wins that as the one single most dominant team in F1 history hands down. In the end this is all that matters. FERRARI.

I am aware of that, I never said otherwise. But the flag they fly is irrelevant. Britain is the home of F1. My point was that the reality is, no matter what the entry form says, most teams are essentially British.

Britain is not the home of F1. That is just like saying that European based motorsports, such as F1, WRC, ERC, WTCC, FIA GT just to name a few, that their homes are France simply because the FIA is based in La Palace de la Concorde in Paris. And it is also like saying the the Champions League and Europe League (Football) are also French because UEFA is based also in France. As is FIFA as well so that means that home of International football is French too. Of course we all know this isn't true so back to F1, who cares where most teams are based in. I mean the most important and signicant team in F1 today is based in Italy, but never makes the home of F1 Italian. The reality is that the home of F1 is European. Just like say the home of NASCAR racing is North American.

I strongly object to your usurping Switzerland for France! :director: The FIFA is headquartered in Zurich (Zürich) and last I checked this my former hometown is firmly in Swiss hands 8-)

Comparing Football governing body's and F1/motorsports is stupid.

FIA (Is French) but the teams are different, same as football if you say (UEFA) is french then they are, but the teams are not.
