The first thing that makes me immediately disagree with Lowe's statement is the simple fact that if you wait around about an hour after qualification on a European race weekend you see cars overtake around the circuit quite easily.

Same on Grand Prix Sunday mornings.

Yes they are spec series, but again you easily see sportscars and other forms of cars managing to race around circuits

but none of them have tonnes of downforce creating a big vortex behind them

That is true, however lessons must be learned and a compromise must be found if they are ever to find a solution.

They'll need to find a way to cut back even more of the downforce. Mind you it's just a cycle. Within the space of no time the clever designers etc will claw it back.

During P2 on the BBC Red button service they were talking about the DDD causing problems for overtaking, they must have read my mind. :P

Whatever happens to the revolutionary rear wing design that Mosley suggested a few years back?

Looks better than the current rear wings.

I think you have to consider the fact that the Sponsors didn't like it either.

yeah Voda____________fone wouldn't really work would it...

Haha, it certainly wouldn't

A lot of the turbulence is caused by vortices's caused by the edges of the wings and the wing end plates so having four wing end plates instead of two is a bad idea.

Are you sure about that? :P

Yup definitely sure that's why they just made the rear wings smaller rather than having two very small wings.
You can see the vortices's quite clearly if it rains. here is a pic anyway.
