They should do okay, they've got a good base to go on.

Red Bull will dominate though i reckon, this season's car was forced into a fundamental compromise when the double diffuser was made legal (due to the pullrod suspension at the back) - so they have a lot more to come and the best designer!

they'll dominate even over ferrari and mcalren?

No reason why not. The biggest budgets don't always mean guaranteed success... Especially if Red Bull get the Merc engine too!

I think I'll cry if ferrari are terrible next year, seeing as the extent they are, and have been, working on next season.

Don't redbull also have a big budget?

Pretty sure it's not as big as Ferrari, McLaren and Toyota's...

I doubt Red Bull will have the Merc Engine now. McLaren have dug their feet into the sand and refused to allow Mercedes to sign a deal. It looks like Red Bull will have to rely on Renault once more with Williams looking ever likely to switch to Cosworth.

It is quite obvious that Brawn will not have the same advantages next season compared to this year, however they will have satisfactory income from sponsors and Mercedes will begin plowing them with a lot of money. Although I would tend to agree with the consensus that Red Bull will continue to prosper, while McLaren and Ferrari return to form, I wouldn't count out Brawn.

I wouldn't count out any of the teams.

I expect Brawn to be a top four team getting regular points and a few wins wins. The only reason Brawn had the advantage this year is because Ross Brawn (and his engineers) interpreted the rulebook better than anyone else, meaning the rest of the teams were playing catchup for the first half of the season. With the rules staying the same for next season I expect Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull and Brawn to be the top teams fighting for wins and podiums. I expect another year of multiple race winners. Ross Brawn is no fool; I believe his legendary technical and tactical skills will keep BrawnGP at the front end of the grid especially with the extra Mercedes cash coming in.

They've had the best designer since 2006.

I still want to believe, that Brawn and Red Bull will be after mclaren and ferrari, shuffling the deck.

i think brawngp will be NOWHERE next year, as the OP said, theyve been riding on the most expensive f1 car ever until now, and in the last few races they have failed to maintain upgrades unlike the obvious big spenders, mclaren and ferrari will be the teams to beat next year i feel and Brwan will be midfield like williams its what ive thought from the start

I know that, what is your point? By 2007 (ie when he could first properly influence the design of the car) the aero of that generation's cars was so optimised that it was hard for him to make a mark - although that '07 car was pretty quick, just unreliable, and he did still come up with a few aero innovations which almost every team promptly copied - the most obvious one being the shark fin engine covers. Then we come to this season where they were the only team remotely capable of keeping up with the double diffuser teams at the start....

I think they got a little burned about about this years brawn being so good.

If they didn't get the Merc engine it would of been in house Honda clone or Cosworth right?

Doubt they'd of done so well with over 80 less horse power.

The rules staying the same??? Where did you get that from? The refueling ban will have some profound effects!

I think Brawn will be OK because they are an Engineer based team. Ross understands how a car works and as such can understand what is needed. Where as someone not engineer based would have issues with example spending more money on one area of the car than another because they would not understand the advantage/disadvantage.

"I think Brawn will be OK because they are an Engineer based team" so the rest of the teams are not engineer based ? just run by monkeys who know mechanics ?:hehe:
