The threat gets more real everyday. This is a real viable option:

http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/n ... 5413.shtml

I hope they get it all sorted one way or another..

Why would the rebel teams of F1 want an association with Dorna Sports, who's parent company is CVC, the same CVC that has financially raped Formula 1 for the past several years. What a great idea, now you have two racing series paying off the huge CVC debt. This MotoGP story appears to have fathered by Bernie and a financially desperate CVC. If FOTA is to form a new racing series, a complete severance of all ties to F1,FIA,FOM,CVC and Bernie would be in order.

CVC don't own Moto Gp now. As that article says.

I think you'll find the BBC will be able to disown F1 should all the teams leave it will be in the contract somwhere i expect.

Could be bluffing could be serious eitherway there doing it very cleaverly.

oh and btw...James Allen has started posting on our fourms

But if ITV did it perhaps James Allen would be back :hehe::hehe:

You interpret the article any way you wish but any association with CVC is not in the best interest of FOTA.

ITV would snap their hand off. Then broadcast it at the same time as the old F1 goes out with poo teams and poo drivers .

ITV would do no such thing. They couldn't afford it.

They afforded it last year and the one before and the one before etc etc. Theyd be offered it cheaper to get it established.

ITV is a sinking ship. All they can afford is football. They had a contract for the F1 for several years to come, but they opted out of it to save money, so they could spend it on football. It would have to be so cheap as to make it a worthless exercise for the teams in order to get ITV to pay for it.

It would almost certainly go to Sky or Eurosport.

But the teams would need the publicity more than the money initially so maybe they would do it really cheap

As Button took a huge paycut this year to float Brawn GP, maybe other drivers could take a page out of his book. Kimi, Alonso, Hamilton, and more could probably co-op and finance a TV deal with all the money they got. Seriously if you get paid 30 some odd million a year to drive, basically do something you would do for free, why not throw some of that money back at what made you rich in the first place. Or the idea of what made them rich, not BE :hehe:.. The might be the new BE's of the future....

I can't see Mr. Money Bags Ecclestone signing a contract that was less than watertight in his favour; even if the BBC stopped showing the show; the licence payers will still have to foot the bill, besides F1 may be more attractive to floating motorsport fans than it is now if competition is stronger!

Kimi would win easily. Before moving onto tarmac he used to race motocross bikes and was really good at that too. He still rides them in his free time.

Kimi would win MotoGP.
Somehow, after racking my brains for hours, I DON'T THINK SO.

Not to a British Audience who supports Button Lewis mainly.

The BBC will get out of it.

You can get strong competition in many racing series around the world, what makes F1 unique is its place at the top technological wise. The proposals duck wants to put in place in his dictatorship will take that uniquness away from F1. and in this case the breakaway series will be the pinnacle as it will be faster bigger and basically all that is F1 right now continued under another name. the sport known as F1 will resemble little of its former self and any F1 fan will naturally be drawn to the breakaway. Simple as that!
