Button has this championship. Not only is his car brilliant but he is racing superb. Its an unbeatable combination.

I think it makes a very nice change to not see a Ferrari or McLaren winning. Now Red Bull have their DDD up and running it would be nice to see them challenging at the aerodynamic circuits. Webber almost grabbed pole at Silverstone last year, maybe he could pull it off this time.

But the last three races have been boring as hell, although the first twenty or so laps of Monaco were quite exciting. Then again we all know Bahrain and Catalunya-wn are the most boring circuits ever. The OWG have got plenty of more work to do.

Yup, although i'm damned sure that the problem now is the brakes - they're too powerful, and drivers are braking so close to the corner now that outbraking an opponent is immensely tough. Ditching carbon fibre brakes would be a step in the wrong direction though, so maybe if the cooling ducts had to be bigger so the brakes (in theory) ran at a cooler temperature they'd be less effective.... :scratchchin: Anyway, they have definitely allowed the cars to follow each other more closely through the corners, which is essentially what they were told to achieve. :)

i have been thinking the exact same thing Scotty, by increasing the braking zone, passing will be alot easier! give them drum brakes i rekn! :D

Apparently Mad Max thought that cars would break earlier when their first introduced the narrower cars and grooved tyres in 1998! What a plank!:rofl::rofl:

It is a bit of a shame it's not closer and i don't really like it when someone wins the title simply because of the dominance of the car (Hill in 1996 for example) but i wouldn't mind Button winning so much because he's had such a hard time of things lately.

It's not over yet. A crash here and a blown motor there and just like that, the domination ends and a fight for the title ensues. The fact that Jenson has not put a foot wrong is testament to his driving concentration...which in this exact position in the past, Hamilton has faultered. A small team, taking it to the far bigger monster teams.....and beating them consistently....with more passing, and tighter on track battles...there is nothing boring about this year, unless you are only watching to see Hamilton...in which case I'm sure you are bored out of your skin. :hehe:

Actually, just had a thought, all this stuff about movable aero parts for next year is really bad news. Air brakes will turn up on the cars before long, and how in the hell are you supposed to use that effectively to outbrake someone when you're in their dirty air with those things present?!?! :-|:hammer:

If they let the teams develop the engines unrestricted, they would end up with 2000bhp and would do 350 mph down the straights and I reckon that would probably increase the braking distances and thus improve overtaking. and who wouldn't want to see that?
