If F1 returns to Argentine, it NEEDS to be at San Luis

That looks a great track, but it doesn't look as though it's up to FIA safety standards (?), and certainly not Ecclestone's VIP standards.

Bring back Mexico, great track :)

I agree with most people here, street circuits are out, the only reasonable one I remember was Phoenix, becuase the track was really wide. But with todays safety standards, it seems ridiculous to be changing classic circuits such as Hockenheim, Spa and Monza for 'safety' reasons, but then saying yeah, lets race around this concrete wall, it'll be fine!

As a side note, F1 is a European sport, I am really fed up with all these Middle east circuits popping up, if we lose the GB GP then I will never watch it again, no matter who races for who.

It's a World Championship - there have always been non-European races in it. But I agree with your in general about the Middle East races.

It is apparently, which why I'm excited by it, it is sanctioned to run the highest classes of motorsport. Don't know how much overtaking there would be but it looks like a blast to drive

From F1 Live:

Plans are still afoot to return Formula One to Argentina, but a race next year is unlikely, Bernie Ecclestone admitted on Sunday.

We have reported this year that figures in the South American country are interested in organising a Grand Prix, but F1 chief executive Ecclestone has told them the Autodromo Juan y Oscar Galvez in Buenos Aires, not used for F1 since 1998, is no longer up to scratch.

The 78-year-old Briton told Germany's DPA news agency at Valencia: "We are in discussions about it. Things probably won't be in place in time for 2010 but we are in talks about it."

Meanwhile, Ecclestone sounded confident a solution will be found to keep Formula One at Hockenheim in the future.

The German circuit, currently annually alternating the German Grand Prix rights with the Nurburgring, said recently it no longer willing to pick up the multi-million euro bill due to race losses.

Work has continued behind the scenes on a solution, and as he announced on Sunday that races at Valencia and Suzuka have a strong future, Ecclestone also sounded confident about Hockenheim.

"We are talking and working on a solution," he is quoted as saying by the German news agency SID. "I hope we will succeed: maybe next week."
