And to stop him crashing he should carry a "valuable" antique on the front of the car which would probably be declared illegal anyway as an "aerodynamic aid". :hehe:

I know! Nakajima Snr!

Nah, not old enough... how about Bernie? He's got a "high value" too!!

Not any more...How about his ex?

:hehe:

Team orders will interfere, Bernie will want to make sure Naka crashes.

Williams are very disappointed with Rosberg this year.
They think they should have had a podium this year.
Someone was beating on about if Alonso was in that WIlliams he would have got them some podiums. Rosberg is on thin ice if you ask me, he says he will leave to go to a "Better" team but unless he shows his talent nobody will want him tbh.

It's hard to judge Rosberg. He hasn't really had a team-mate to push him and compare him to.

In 2006 he was a fair match against Webber. But 2007 Wurz was nowhere, and Nakajima has been nowhere. So Rosberg has been lacking a team mate to push him, and we've been lacking a yard stick with which to judge Rosberg. We can't tell if Rosberg is out-performing the car, or if it's Rosberg being in-consistent.

It's important to have a competitive team mate to keep you on your toes. We know Lewis and Alonso benefited from the push they gave each other, and surely Massa pushed himself with the challenge of Kimi. But this is something again I think Rosberg is lacking. It's just hard to know when it comes to Rosberg. Personally I'd like to see him in another team next year, to see how he compares to another driver in the same car.

Lewis/Nico would be a good pairing actually. They're friends, but they're both rapid drivers. It'd be a bit like the Brawn pairing - you get all the competition without any of the messy arguments ala Prost/Senna.

Kovy is a funny situation. No doubt he's fast, as fast as Lewis at times. But last year McLaren showed a complete favouritism to Lewis, constantly giving Kovy overly-heavy fuel loads. But if you look at the Q2 times, Kovy was always there. But race pace wise, he did struggle at times. Not to mention a constant run of bad luck early on. But Kovy hasn't done any better this year, and he does not seem to be enjoying driving the new McLaren.

So could Nico replace Kovy at McLaren. Well it all depends on whether or not McLaren decide to sign Kovy for another year. The mechanics and engineers all apparently love Kovy. He has a great relationship with whitmarsh. All because he has a contributed a lot to McLaren over the last year. Kovy's performances haven't been bad enough to warrant a removal. In fact he scored some great points at China. I don't see Kovy leaving a top team like McLaren, so I find it very hard to see Nico moving to McLaren anytime soon.

BMW would be an option. But Heidfeld has done a good job this year, scoring all of BMW's points, and Kubica, BMW's race winner isn't about to go anytime soon.

Brawn or Renault perhaps?

I think the Brawn is oversubscribed as it is. Renault might be an option.

Judging from GP2, I would rank Lewis Heikki and Nico in this order:

Heikki
Nico
Lewis

But things often work out differently in F1. Heikki hasn't had a fair stab at it imo, he has been unfairly treated by both Renault and McLaren but t the same time he hasn't shown that much race pace when he has been given the opportunity so perhaps his no 2 position at McLaren is fair. We won't know about Nico until he gets a decent car

I personally think Lewis is a better driver than both Heikki and Nico.

I'm inclined to agree. But I'll reserve judgment on Nico for at least a little while.

You've got to say that Lewis has looked the best in F1 machinery but Nico in a fast car could be like Alonso imo. I don't think he's a charger like Lewis or Kimi but i think he knows how to put a race together like Alonso and he has impressed me massively in a couple of races

I think Rosberg has a lot of talent, but really he has a half decent car atm, Alonso is shading him in a Renault which shouldn't be near the Williams on outright pace. I dno what is happening.
#118673
That's true although it's hard to say how fast either car really is because you have in both teams, a very talented driver and someone who shouldn't be in f1. The one thing i would say is that Nakajima has been very quick on occasion, he's just a liability in a race whereas Piquet is just rubbish in every way.

Mm hmm. But as we've seen countless times in the past, Formula One is very different to the junior formulae.

Yup, look at Buemi... he's doing a good job really, and i think most expected him to be quite dodgy.
