What is wrong with peoples reading comprehension these days?

You will get about 30 - 35 minutes on a single layer 4.7GB DVD.

yeah no s***,

That's not what you were saying before.

Man, you just don't give up but there's that reading comprehension problem again

from my first post in this topic:
they won't play on normal dvd players

Oh and yep, my samsung dvd player has an HDMI output although tbh I'm unsure as to whether or not it'll handle the file format. If not I'll just use my PS3.

What's wrong with only 30 mins? A lot of people have dvd writers, not so many have blu ray writers so what do you suggest they do to store their HD home videos and stuff so they can watch them on their tv?

oh for f***s sake mate....reading comprehension problem stfu with that s*** would ya you sound like a f***ing upper class know it all knob
You dont get out much do you? talking to people like that would get you a smashed up face in a pub debate :hehe:

youre talking about doing all this software s*** that would require your above average IT nerd type yet you then say what would people do with their HD video to watch on their TVs? didnt you just say most DVD players wont even be able to read the format? so answer your own question... how would they even if they can manage to work out the requirements to get your HD data on a DVD then watch it on their TV if they dont have like you a PS3.... how would they?

And that wouldn't get you a smashed up face in a pub debate?

All I did was at the start of this was point out that it is possible to put HD video files onto a normal DVD when you had said it wasn't. No need to be so abusive.

no it wouldnt because i would be saying that once youre on the ground :whip:

yeah point taken but when it comes to this stuff not everyone is a technologically minded super geek who burns 30 minute HD home videos so they can watch it on their PS3. They would be more likely to want to fit their entire footage onto the one disk minus the quality.

on the PS3 i tend to transfer movie files via portable HDDs and flash drives to my PS3. burning to a disk to transfer files to the PS3 is just a waste of time if you ask me.

My dad has just got himself a new tv, blu ray player and hd camcorder, the camcorder uses memory sticks. I'm fairly sure there's software that came with the camera to burn the hd video files onto standard dvds. And yep, portable HDDs are another option.
