Hamiltons been doing a few media events in the off season dont know what youre getting at Headless.

Yeh weras kimi's idea of media event is falling out a of club off his face on booze and getting snapped by the paperazi.

Which to be fair is pretty cool.

Lewis is much more outspoken and media friendly than Kimi. But Kimi was the same before he was champion and so was Lewis... so what's the point?
The point is everyone is different. Some drivers may choose to go out of their way to promote whatever. But they don't really have to. All they have to do is drive faster than the rest. That's what a WDC should be doing to help the sport. :drink:

I disagree. A world champion is a poster child of the sport and a role model - he is and should be in a prime position to promote F1, to interact with the fans, etc. That is an implied responsibility of any champion of any sport and more so in F1 where salaries are exorbitant.

Presumably constantly being in the celebrity shagging pages of the news 'cos of his g/f doesn't count as promoting the sport then to a wider audience?

Yes, I hope Hamilton doesn't turn into another "Posh and Beckham" because unlike Beckham, Hamilton isn't afraid to show what he can do at the wheel of an F1 car whilst Beckham only shows what he can do at set pieces and sod all else unless he feels like it (like most of the poncy Premiership players we have today  )

Kimi on the other hand, falls off boats.

Why does Lewis do everything in his race overalls. He is not going to get burned alive in a London Taxi. That sort of safety precaution isnt necessary and he could quite easily have worn any garment from his millions of Mclaren clothes.

Just as long as he doesn't spray any CS gas in the cabby's face. :P
