Massa did not spin at Monaco, he locked his brakes and had to avoid the barriers through the escape road, where he then had to turn the car around. :D

True the numbers don't matter, but its more the fact unless the FIA has made a mistake, they're basically saying that Kimi is the top driver at ferrari, and trying to control the sport again. That just annoys me. Whats to say Massa just isn't a better driver and will again top Kimi in 2009. I know a lot of people won't agree with that, but its opinion.

Turning != spinning. :)

The FIA has listed Massa as driver number 4, and Kimi as 3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the driver who finished higher up, is suspose to recieve the lower number. Seriously, will poor ol Felipe ever get a break.

What, like the numbers really matter?:rofl: Massa had the 'better' number in 2007 and it didn't do him any favours...

Maybe Massa would have had better luck if he had painted his number red... ;)

...and was a total legend who actually had a lot of natural talent, rather than being someone who had to work twice as hard as the other drivers to get the same result... :P

If I remember correctly, Massa did not actually spin at Monaco...

He intentionally span the car to get out of the escape road, if that counts!

Lewis won Monaco by being the fastest he built a 30++ sec gap up after his slight collision with the wall and then pit stop.

I suggest you get your facts straight before you make yourself look stupid.

Now, i can't quite remember, didn't Hamilton basically luck into the win at Monaco? What with the safety car coming out after he'd made an unscheduled stop after hitting the armco....

Kinda like Michael Schumacher, nothing truly special but can get the job done.

You sir are misinformed  , sorry that was just too easy to pass up. :D

Which is, actually, testament to his devotion and, perhaps more importantly, indicates that other drivers don't deserve what they're paid when he can beat them by doing so :hehe:

There were a lot of lucky wins in 2008. And a lucky championship win, I guess. But then, they say that you make your own luck. Then again, if that were actually true, I'd be rolling tons of it out and wouldn't have a single problem in life.

No matter what or who's terminology we use Massa fluffed a potential win no matter what the issue was at the time and nitpicking it now is redundant. I hope Massa has not lost the motivation he showed last year. On another note what seem's to be lost is the respect for natural talent especially among all the 'professional' driver's we have on this forum :rolleyes: !

Hey, don't get me wrong, i have grown to like the guy a lot, especially after his reaction in Brazil. I'm still waiting for him a race from somewhere other than the front row however...

If only that engine hadn't failed. :/

I have to say, though, his race in Brazil should have silenced a lot of critics. Pressure, rain and a large amount of uncertainty. Add to that the fact that he couldn't afford to take it easy like he did at Spa and you have an exceptional drive on your hands.

I do agree. Although Massa never seems to end up in 4th or 3rd during a race he has the pace to win. Race pace has never been his strong-point.

However, no one can deny that his move in Hungary was majestic. Really, it was such an in-justice that he never won that race.

Actually, I've noticed that Massa's race pace tends to be much better whenever hes in a posistion like 8th or 15th. Australia and Silverstone 2007, he had 2 great comeback drives. He also had brilliant pace in Canada 08, making up for when Ferrari used the wrong fuel pump. He just needs to more consistent over all of the tracks.
