In any case, we'd need more drivers like he was in F1.

Luckily a few youngsters these days have shown pretty mighty race craft :D

the fact is no one from F1 of would offered him a seat they want light drivers not Juan "Tubby" Montoya

Hahaha, good one! I don't want to diss him, but he's a bit "big" for F1 :D

If your trying to claim Nascar is better than F1, your in the wrong place. Firstly nascar is only popular in America, whilst F1 is worldwide. Secondly, watching a bunch of V8 soapboxes run round in circles for too long, verus the madness 2008 and the most amazing season finale. I think we know deep down which sport is plain better.

I think JPM is kinda like Lewis, in terms or aggression. Montoya's move on Schumacher in Brazil 2001 in only his 3rd race, reminds me of Lewis pulling on over on Alonso. Only thing is JPM is hot-heated, whilst Lewis is calm and collected. Really Montoya needed to sort himself out, and he never did, he simply left, and I doubt we'll ever see him again.
His loss

It was pretty much well known that he got fed up by F1, already in 2005. His last season with Williams didn't go too well, that walrus nose car was a dog...
Also his hot-headed-ness didn't fit in well to the McLaren corporate style.
He got used to Nascar now, I'm watching Nascar ever since he joined, and from next year it seems like he's gonna be in one of the strongest team (finally!)!

Yeaha!! back to the front for Juan!! He has better car control than most. He'd have loved a car like this years McLaren! he can control it like Lewis. He got stuck wirh an understeery car which he hates. The sort that drivers need when they dont have top notch car control. Who could control the back end if the front went where they put it? Ayrton, Mansell, Schumacher, Lewis and Juan. Too many of the others bitch that the car is undrivable and compromise development to account for their inability to handle it.

Ok so he was a little hot headed, but he was exciting! beats all the boring ones we have.

So sad Juan left F1 but dont blame him for sticking two fingers up to all the corporate crap. He's a racer.
Come on my boy!!! Win NASCAR!!!

At least he gets a new Chevy car, and hope they change his strategists 'cause he lost out by strategy at least 3 or 4 times this season, if not more :( har har

Both Juan and rubbish-Ralf knew they were in their last seasons at Williams that year and didn't exactly drive their hearts out, sure the walrus nose was bad but the car was decent when it was ditched and Montoya put a good pass on Schumi at Spa and then picking up Williams' last victory to date at Brazil.

Well I guess ultimately it's JPM's choice what he wants to do with his racing career.
If he's happier in Nascar than he was in F1, let it be. As an ex Macca driver, I'll be cheering for him no matter what :D

Was it... I wonder. Guess we'd need some more drivers with b*lls (same thing LH mentioned once) And JPM had huge pair of those :D

As I've said before, Montoya has the skill, but wastes it. He's such an arrogant bar steward as well, so he'll never admit to it. That said, I'd love to see him back in Formula, even if he doesn't sort himself out. His mid-race charges did make things more interesting.
