What do you think was the coolest moment of season 08? This can be anything and anywhere......

I think the one moment that I still remember like yesterday was the Canadien GP when LH hit KR in the pits. There you could clearly see why KR is called the Iceman. He got out of his car, pointed out the red light for LH and just walked away like nothing happened. I can´t think of any other racer that would have taken that situation so easily........

If you would not have seen the race, you would be scratching your head for a week wondering how in the world did those cars end up like that Great picture......

I think we've seen a lot of great moments this year. In fact, 2008 has shown both the good and the bad sides of Formula One. Hamilton passing Glock on the second last corner of the last lap of the last race of the season is definitely up there with some of the greatest sporting moments ever. I think we've also witnessed history in seeing the first wins of Kubica and Vettel.

Vettel and his win at Monza were by far the best thing for me in 08 (which is why I made my av to celebrate not long after the race ). I thought he'd be getting on to the podium at some point... but a win?!?! YAY.

EDIT: Forgot to add that I thought the whole last race of the season was awesome fun to watch... I didn't have a preference for who came out as WDC, but I was just hoping it would be exciting - and it most defiantly was!

Vettel's win a Monza was the coolest thing to happen this year because Torro Rosso have got from nowhere to race winners and don't forget that team used to be called Minardi. Also Hamilton winning the championship was cool as well because he proved that he dosen't need the help of the FIA to win a chmpionship and he proved all of the critics wrong.

Vettel at Monza. I had been hoping for a Toro Rosso 1-2, but poor Bourdais' luck washed that possibility away

Nico's podiums, going P2 in Q2 at Monaco and just a tenth behind Massa.

Bourdais finishing Q1 at Spa with the fastest time.

Coolest thing of '08 is that all teams but Force India made it to the podium, and 5 different teams won a race this year when compared to only 2 last year.

It was nice too see more teams win this year, and have points spread out amongst drivers (rather than two or three drivers getting all points).

There was a lot more overtaking and some good dices throughout the field compared to 2007, so taking away Traction control was a great idea.

Having said that there were still a few crap races ie. Sepang, Bahrain, Catalunya-wn, Magny-Bores, Valenci-yawn and Shangha-ite.

The final laps of the season. A championship decided on the last corner of the last race, after 18 rounds. It was a brilliant advert for F1 and one of the most dramatic finishes to a sporting event as I've ever seen in my life time.

I have to agree.

Although the Silverstone race was rather cool aswell.

Monaco, after Hamiltons brush with the wall and flat tyre I thought that was it then when he came out the pits I was thinking 'well, he's not in such a bad position'.
