I always imagined the main issue would be noise. F1 engines are LOUD! Aren't people trying to sleep because they have work tomorrow at 7am.

Singapore put a lot of planning into this anyway. They hardly did it expecting it to have a negative effect. They wouldn't have the race unless it seriously benefitted Singapore.

As for creating a permanent track. That doesn't work either. It's used once a year, and when that happens it has similar result as Turkey. A permanent track is never a good thing unless it's used regularly.

I thought the race started at around 8pm local? The engines are loud though, especially the V8's. Loud and good.

Its the only proper road course in F1 at the moment, it needs to stay! I think they have done well to provide F1 with a good track and facilities, they are one of the few new tracks that I am actually OK with. Valencia needs to go obviously, and though I love the Turkish Grand Prix, if they can't fill the stands it needs to go too. I think we need more road circuits back in F1, if they bring a race back to the US I think the only way to do it would be with a road course, go back to Detroit or even Long Beach. I am still under the belief that Surfers Paradise and F1 would be racing nirvana.

No, because the circuit's rubbish.

 Bitter from a poo race, like me.

What's with the thread resurrect, huh, headless?

Felt architechtural

V10's were better. Much better, but V8's will have to do I guess!

On tv, yeah, in the flesh... tough call. The V8's are so, so much louder, i was quite blown away by them at Goodwood.

ans why is Monaco not?

Monaco should stay, but it's not a proper street circuit. It's just a driver challenge, but it's not meant for Formula One cars.

Singapore is a better street circuit in my opinion.

Valencia and Albert Park:

What - everyone else does? :yikes:

I hate it, what's unique about it? A few chicanes and one hairpin. Whoop-dee-doo!

A just a flat ring almost. In my opinion it's got no character whatsoever. It's a massive step down from the Adelaide circuit.

As the Melbourne residents are going crook at the noise and the notion of the race being held at twilight, I'll be happy to see the race moved to a different location. We have plenty of tracks to choose from.

I've never liked the Melbourne track from the start.
