Let me put this into perspective for you all.
Lewis deserved to win at Belgium as much as Massa deserved to win at Hungary. Now say that lifes a peach, and they did both win their respective races. This is how the points would look right now.
Massa - 85
Hamilton - 81

Now, if anything, its the other way around, and you can start questioning if Lewis won by a single point. hmm.

Lewis pushes his luck a bit to far, and has been cocky on track all year round. Thats what has lost him valuable points. I mean, 5 penalties in one year. Is there record for that somewhere, I really dunno.

Hark, is that the voice of reason and unclouded judgement I hear!

PS,
Dont forget the penalties were not his fault it was a conspiracy by MM the FIA and Ferrari :rofl: .

A car that goes fast for all but 3 laps of a race does not deserve victory.

The FIA have denied us the opportunity to know whether Hamilton deserved victory or not.

That said, Massa who imo has less natural talent than his main rivals has done extremely well for most of the season and what's happened has been nothing at all to do with him other than he has been the one to benefit from what looks to be a very poor decision.

If Damon Hill was a worthy Champion (which he was no matter what the hypocrits say), Massa should be as well.

That's ridiculous! KR you say was racing at a level beyond FM? Yes, and he ended up crashing his car into the wall! Looks very beyond to me, sure
And LH? He lost his calm, tried a stupid move and got punished for that - poor race craft I'd say.
FM was simply chilling and watching the two cokks duking it out while waiting to pick up the crumbs - very smart and very Prof. Prost-esque. So, in the end FM matched them and trumped them - a deserved winner!

The first sentence, fair enough. I did, however, burst out laughing thereafter. This points represents one of the worst cases I've seen of straw-clutching in a long while.

For the second time, there is a difference between somebody's engine blowing up and being a victim of a corrupt, morally bankrupt governing body. What's next? Soon, you'll be saying that because such and such a driver was not in the best car, he should be champion for every year he was in Formula One on the grounds of his superior skill!

That's the first time I've heard that comparison used. I hope James Allen isn't reading this getting ideas for who to compare Hamilton to next.:P

I think, given the fact that he's performed far better this season that in his previous two and has strung together a run of strong, consistent performances, I'd say that Felipe would be worthy of the championship if he won it.
#67970
I think he would be a worthy champion as well. Forgetting the result in Spa both of them have won 4 races and Lewis and Felipe have been the two most consistent drivers all season. Lewis shouldn't be fussing however because he is a better driver than Massa and as long as his Mclaren holds up I expect him to take the title
#67973
Massa will be a worthy champion if he win's it as he has driven his heart out and made significant stride's to become more of a complete driver.

Okay, so the penalty itself was unfair, but the points advantage Ferrari gains from it is.

No, but if it wasn't Ferrari it would have been another team. Can't help that they finished 2nd and reaped the rewards so to speak.

I've heard and saw everything. To my self, I know who deserved it. No matter what or how you explained it, still someone is against to it. To make story short, the FIA decision is FINAL. Let's all enjoy the remaining races and support your favorite team or driver. They're all very good drivers no matter what.

Whoever has the most points in 4 races will deserve to win the WDC & that is what the record books will show.
