I want to see Ford back but it will not happen :banghead:

Ford have for many years powered many F1 teams and likewise won many titles as an engine supplier. If Ford made an entire team of their own, that would be aworsome. And then they can win, win, win. Ford equals. FIRST ON RACE DAY. :hehe::yes::D

nah Jaguar were on the up, then they pulled the plug. Webber was constantly challenging for the podiums. Was sad really. The jags were the good looking cars on the grid :(

I have a good idea!!!

Team Penske should enter F1 with Porsche supplying engines to the team, and bringing DHL as the title sponsor with them from the ALMS team.

So is that a good idea or not?

Team Penske would be awsome, As F1 could do with a few proper Constructors rather than manufacturers. and would love to see Porsche back in F1

Hasnt Penske dabbled in F1 in the past? i could be wrong but i thought there was a penske car in the 70's
Trying to attract an American team to F1 now would be monumental, the costs are astonmacial even before the drivers get paid and the teams are a lot larger as well not only that but look at the amount of people at a NASCAR race and compare it to Silverstone, as a sponsor id think that NASCAR, IRL etc is better value than F1

yes they did and then afterwards they had kept a strong relationship with McLaren, shared and co developed parts even sponsors

I think that it is likely to take an established racing team of another format (such as Penske) in partnership with a major sponsor. On this basis there are several teams capable of producing a good F1 team, and sponsors could well come from China or the middle East. I am sure that China would want to be represented 'on wheels' in F1,so I think it possible that the Chinese government could sponsor a team (via a 'front' company I think. )Sponsorship could be the first step for China.
As I have said before it will now be extremely difficult for a newcomer to start from absolute scratch.
