I asked this question last month:"Well, could the impossible be possible. Could Alonso return to Mclaren?"

Are we seeing Alonso trying to make it back to McLaren in one way or another. Is he signaling to them that he's a different man. Will they take the risk of havind him back?

With Hamilton saying that he misses Alonso presence at McLaren. Maybe these 2 guys aren't "enemie" after all :hehe:

Ron Dennis offered Alain Prost a contract for 1994. I accept that even though relations between Dennis and Prost were bad, things were not as bad as they were between Alonso and Dennis. In a number of years down the line and if Hamilton had left the team, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Dennis at least talked with Alonso about resigning for the team. Dennis is prepared to work with most people, so long as he understands them.

If anyone has seen it. The footage of Hungary last year when Alonso and Dennis come out of the stewards office after the penalty.
Alonso walks on and Dennis is shouting at him "Get in the Car"
Alonso: "No I'll walk"
Dennis: "get in the car"
Alonso walked away.

Kinda said it all.

The actions themselves aren't that bad. A lot more went on in the Senna-Prost war. What was worse last season and did not happen between Alain Prost and Ron Dennis was blackmail etc. There is a lot of bad blood which will never go away, but if Dennis was desperate for a decent driver and Alonso was gagging for a half-decent car, I think they would at least try to come to a good business agreement.

Yeah, and although I don't condone anything Alonso did with Blackmail and such, I think there is alot of things tht went against him last season. Things we may never know.

Come on please, blackmail. I wish some of you could get over yourselves. I preface the following with the assertion that I don't favour either man over the other, though it may appear that way:

There was no blackmailing, and the whole thing was started by Hammy when he disobeyed his boss. DID not move over for Alonso to do his best time. Was not on a hot lap, so he should have moved, DID NOT move because he was too proud, was arrogant, and saw his chance to project a swashbuckling image for posterity. Then supposedly was held up in the pit by Alonso just enough to miss the flag so Alonso does not miss the flag. I doubt they could calculate for that, Alonso the least of them, being in a racing car at the time. If an engineer did that, it was wrong, but you can't blame Alonso. Then Hammy swears at the boss. You're supposed to be fired for that.
Alonso was ordered to tell what he knew about the Ferrari papers or face exclusion. Where's the blackmail? If Alonso benfitted from it, it's ludicrous to think Hammy did not.

Alonso knew what he was doing in sitting there after the lollipop had been raised. of course he was being told (read it was his manager) when to go so only he would get 1 more lap in and not Hamilton. You can blame Alonso, to say you cant blame him is like saying he had a gun and was told to shoot and kill someone....but he didnt kill anyone because he was being told to.

Hamilton was wrong as well and did instigate the whole events at Hungary by disobeying team orders, but the blackmailing story is not false as it was based on the emails that Fernando had between himself and Pedro. Fernando did say to Ron he would go to the Bernie with the emails if Ron didnt get rid of Lewis. instead Ron went straight to Bernie called his bluff and ended any chance of Fernando racing on in 08.

sad story :drink:

What if Alonso's departure from McLaren was a deal between ML and FIA.

Let us suggest that since ML were found guilty of spying, a deal was struck between various parties to remove 1 of the drivers from ML (in this case Alonso because maybe Ferrari considers him a bigger threat than Hamilton) for the 08 season.

Knowing that Hamilton is still in his learning phase, by removing Alonso from ML, Ferrari would have caused ML a major set back.

After this year is over, then ML are free to choose whether or not to bring Alonso back.

Everything is possible these days in Formula1.
