Not a Lewis fan then eh? racechick will love you. :D

Yeah Ive clockd him and his drivel. Not worth answering most of the time. Had to laugh at this one though "Heiki is the man" Now I like Heikki, he's a cool guy, but look at results mister Biting-statue-man, If Heiki 'is the man' what does that make lewis since he consistently beats him . Unbelievable :vomit:

How can you say that? Heikki has had the worst luck ever this year including an unlucky safety car in Aus, Penalty in Malaysia, rim failure in Spain, getting clipped at the start by Raikkonen in Turkey, and a failure in the steering wheel in Monaco. You cant judge Heikki and Lewis simply by the results. In qualifying, Heikki is just as fast sometimes faster than your beloved Hamilton.

I know he's had bad luck and i do rate him but even when the bad luck hasnt been there he hasnt matched lewis for speed. Today he did great and congrtas to him.

Look Hamilton made a mistake, Mclaren made a Mistake. They got penalties and it's in the past... legit or not.

He's only10points behind now, he could easily win at Silverstone and the Ferrari DNF. This is F1, the 4 drivers in the 2 top teams, can't seem to string a set of results together even if it hit them in the face...
Only one really close to it is Felipe.

Hamilton made a mistake going off the track, but letting Vettel past would also have been a mistake. The overtaking maneuver was made long before the corner. If Hamilton braked/lifted off to avoid going off the track, he would still have had enough speed and Vettel would have been sufficiently far behind for Hamilton to successfully defend his position. I say again, the FIA are inconsistent, biased scum.

Agreed MclarenFan

The first time in a long while. You see, I am impartial.

Looks like a weasel to me

Well it is a ferret but it was the nearest to a guinea-pig, Talking of which and back to topic i think Vettel is being a goody two shoes-oppotunist weasel. Like he was when he screwed up and ploughed into webber.

I agree. I didnt see Heikki complain about Vettel when he cut the last chicane in Canada.

I am a little confused as to why Vettel got away with cutting the chicane and being able to get away from Kovalainen too at Canada, and also I remember Schumacher doing the same thing 3 or so laps in a row at Hungary 2006.

i first thought of Schumachers Hungary corner cuttings last night after seeing Hamiltons.

i would like to see an external shot of Hamilton Vettel as Lewis' onboard doesnt show where Vettel was after he passed him. i cant find much on youtube :ranting:
It looks as though he may have had to straight line it so he wouldnt hit Vettel on the turn in. one could say he was not trying to cause an avoidable accident again

all in all i think Lewis should have just given the spot back but like i said in the past we have seen similar incidents go unpunished its the FIA at fault here. their interpretations of the rules cause the confusion among teams! if they were consistent in their sanctions there would be no issues here. and this goes for spy cases aswell

Also true.

Vettel didnt gain an advantage when he cut the chicane in canda, Hamilton did.
yes the pass was made just before the chicane but in passing vettel where he did Hamilton had no choice but to straight line the chicane because he wasnt going to make the corner thus keeping vettel behind him. That is gaining an advantage the penalty was fair and has been dished out to many drivers over the years, there was no biased judgements involved

He cut a chicane right after he made a pass. Actually... more or less during the pass. That penalty was quite straight forward. I knew he was going to get the penalty as soon as he did not give up the position. I was very surprised. The big question is why didn't he?

Vettel's off were not during a 'pass', i think definitely the rules need to be clarified out of this little grey area, because he did get the advantage of not being able to get passed, but he never made a pass, nor the other driver made a definite attempt during this offs. It was definitely grey, according to the rules. Although from a competitive point of view it was not the right thing to do by Vettel.

Vettel did not gain a position in Canada. Yes, it probably helped him to not lose a position, but I think there is no such rule currently employed that you get a penalty for cutting a chicane when there's a car behind you.

If he did that we wouldn't be talking about a penalty. But he didn't, no point in speculating now.

There were also communication issues with the FIA.

It doesn't matter whether Vettel off was during a pass or not the fact is he got an advantage by cutting the corner and that should be banned outright and not only examined when someone is in the middle of an overtaking maneuver. But I do agree with you regarding Vettel's comments. Tottally unprofessional and childish
