TBH I have not bought an F1 game for ages, In fact it was the EA game when Jaguar first started out and they had the best car on the grid according to the game, so throught the year that sort of niggled on me and then it got to the first F1 USA GP and it did not have a clue at what the track was like.

I haven't found many worth buying, to be honest. F1 2006 is pretty meh. It's good to a certain extent, but it's repetitive and very predictable. There are only a few AI drivers who ever win a GP. Plust, some of the sounds aren't realistic. The engine sounds from Psygnosis' F1 1999 are on par, and the downshifts sound more like the real thing.

Also, the lack of elements such as proper penalties, having to manage your speed in the pits, the safety car and being able to control what changes are made during your pit stop, make it rather boring after a while.

Have you tried any of the other cars in LFS? I'm working through the training part of the game now and some of them are actually a lot of fun to use. :)

I have driven the Lotus 7 Replicas a lot, also I played the game for a month or so without registering so I drove the FWD tin top mostly around that time.

Now I find that I can not live friving a car without downforce on it so keep to cars that stick to the road
