Toro Rosso has (to me) the most exciting young guys out there. And the team looks to be all out about their racing. So I would't be surprised if they did really good.

So does Williams, but they seem to belong in the front half now.

Toro Rosso? Are you all mad? Sub Fiat are way behind, not a hope this year. Honda will be strong as will Toyota (in the lower half of the field anyway). Sub Fiat may pick up a few scraps if the others fall off the track or break down but thats about it.

Being mad allows me to see the future but sometimes it's a blur. Often it's last years future or maybe just next Wednesday at about 2 PM. It's not a precise science anyway.

I call them FIAT because I get tired of the "in house, only indepenant team" nonsense that gets put forward. They have always had the vast resources of one of the worlds largest companies to draw on (except when they raced in blue of course). They are, in all but name, FIAT F1. Now thats not a bad thing, but they do get mis represented as independants.

So if this is true shouldn't McLaren be called SUB-Mercedes?

I commend you for fighting a battle that was doomed from the start, here here :P . Incase you have missed it the Ferrari's do sport their majority shareholder/financial backer on the car so do some research ok  .

i think what he is getting at is the name of the constructor being Ferrari Fiat as seen on the official FIA team listing.

so do some research ok

It's all about correct wording mate as it's to easy to read something else into one's statement. I may have misunderstood his meaning and I apologize for that, thank's for pointing out my potential error bud.

Actually, officially, the team only needs to put "Fiat" at the end of their name if that's the badge of the engine. Hence Ferrari and Honda, whose engines carry the same name as the team, do not need to put Ferrari Fiat or Honda Honda. McLaren uses Mercedes engines, Williams use Toyota, a different name from the team, so they are called McLaren Mercedes and Williams Toyota. it has nothing to do with team ownership.

I've got a good feeling about Toro Rosso - they've got a stable platform now and a pair of Super-Sebs to guide them.

I never feel good about Toyota, though they've got to come good eventually, right? By the end of the year Honda will have hoisted themseves right up again I think.
