the FIA are not attacking Brundle's freedom of speech they are attacking the fact that he is writing "lies". i am not a lawyer but if brundle can't prove what he is saying then he doesn't have a very strong case

He hasnt written any lies he has given his opinions as he is entitled to do and he has more or less been threatened with his job for doing so. I noticed the bit about the FIA writing to the ITV. Also that Brundle expects his license(or whatever it is he needs) to be hard to come by. Nice bunch of folks ruling our sport 8)8)

The problem is I read Autosport which is very pro English F1 and very anti Ferrari and the FIA. Eventually, the brainwashing takes effect and I develop mysterious affections for English F1 teams ;p

Like I've said in my other posts, I fire up against the McLaren posters on this forum because they are not willing to admit ANY guilt and proclaim their teams COMPLETE innocence, then you have the audacity to call Ferrari supporters blind lambs. A sever case of the pot calling the kettle black!

And listen up my furry feathered friend, Schumacher's "cheating" was mainly devised by an English technical director called Ross Brawn. Let me assure you he was the brains behind most of Schumi's driving...

You must not have read my posts very well then, but I'll reiterate again for your benefit. No McLaren supporter is saying mistakes were not made and/or that things could have been done differently - hindsight is a wonderful thing - but, despite that, the team was treated in a grossly unfair manner and is continuing to be so. This is simply not on from the FIA, which is supposed to be an unbiased, impartial and professional organisation.

OK, I'll back down then fellas.

I thought you were saying McLaren are completely innocent and this 'witch hunt' is completely fuelled by Ferrari and their need to crush McLaren by any means.

demure have you read the wmsc transcripts from the McLaren hearing at all? or have you only ever made up your mind by going on what the media quotes?
i take the sarcasm there :P

McLaren were bottom reemed for using Ferrari information but according to the transcripts all that was said was in emails and no actual factual usage was ever proven nor found.
now add in the Renault case where it was proven that multiple engineers saw the information that Mackerneth took with him, yet there is no forensic team going over their 08 car to check for any McLaren technology and Max Mosely has on numerous occasions been the instigator in the press as to why the FIA is on the path it is with McLaren yet you have hardly hear him say a word on the Renault case why is that? shouldnt he pay both cases the same amount of time and respect?
this whole saga cries of corruption and if you cannot see that youre a fool! simple as that.

If the FIA had treated Renault the same as it did McLaren my views would be different.

Have you not read any of my posts bud?

I'm saying Ferrari is getting prefferential treatment because they are the darling of the FIA. Just like teams have favourite drivers you can view Ferrari has the FIA's number one driver.

There are also 2 camps in F1. You have the Bernie, Flavio, Ferrari camp vs Mclaren, Williams and Jordan (RIP) etc.

I'm saying there IS favouritism, I'm saying there IS corruption and I'm agreeing with most of your points.

I'm also saying that as I'm a defacto Ferrari supporter via Schumacher, I'm not Tifosi, that I don't have a problem with it because Ferrari are in the good books of the FIA and are getting certain political favours.

I'm also saying I can understand McLaren Fan's frustrations because they are on the receiving end of all of this.

F1 will never be politics free, too much money involved.

Did Ferrari win the title purely because of this? No. Is McLaren getting punished worse because of this? Yes.

Is it altering the outcome of the WCC? Debatable but I doubt it.

I personally think Max/Bernie hasn't forgotten about all the hassles McLaren caused with the break away series and this is payback...

There has to be a reason why McLaren is getting all this heat, who knows what's happening behind the scenes. I don't buy the story that this is all Ferrari's doing either, because it's in Ferrari's best interests that McLaren win also. Otherwise nobody would watch F1 if Ferrari won everything and everybody would lose.

It's nice to see we understand one another. Perhaps, now, you'll stop winding up Bud and I.

For the second time you seem to have said it is fine for the FIA to have a team they prefer, just like how a team may prefer a driver. I'm sorry, but that doesn't cut the mustard for, as I've said on here before, the FIA are meant to be impartial. Formula One is big business, yes, but the governing body and it need to separated. Favouritism, towards any team, for any reason, is simply not acceptable.

i think what Mclaren Fan is saying is that it seems that deMure thinks its ok for the FIA to favor one team and MF says that it should not happen as the FIA should be impartial and I agree
