only started following it this season but thi is what judgement i have made of Alonso (it is probably very wrong but..............)

I think he might have thought the title was his and he was completely thrown by Hamilton coming along (i might be factually wrong there)

I think he didnt expect the competition, i also think that he is finding it hard to deal with Lewis Hamilton.

I dont hate Alonso, ive never met the man, however sport is sport and without competition, sport wouldnt exist. To be a winner you have to accept losing imho be it Alonso, Lewis or Kimi

For a rookie spectator i would say that is a pretty astute observation of the situation. Alonso thought it was an easy ride to another championship and was not prepared for Lewis' speed. He didnt insist on number 1 status because
a) he knew he wouldnt get it, McLaren do not do it. they pride thwmselves on free competition amongst their drivers
b) He didnt think it would be neccesary with a rookie

Saz17- stick in there! The politics are something to behold!! :D

i agree with everything you say there saz17. Alonso is fighting for his world title and i respect that he is willing to do unethical (but not illegal) things to retain the crown. When it is all said and done the history book will simply list who won the 2007 Drivers Title and not all the politics and fighting that went into winning it.

I don't think he's out of order to want to be no 1 in the team, he joined it the world champion. I think that's reasonable.

It's illegal for a team to cut down other driver car and that what Alonso is requesting.

alonso will be happy when he gets a schumacher like role, where there both drivers in the team both aiming for an alonso title, just like he had at renault

Wouldn't put it better myself :lol:

Alonso the driver I can live with, Alonso the person is who I am struggling with.

I wonder how many blackmailers in prison are sitting there thinking "Hey how did he get away with it?"

Ferrari claimed that their appeal against the FIA ruling was to ensure justice was done…..that a wrong against Ferrari needed to be righted!

So why did they offer all the guilty parties immunity from prosecution if the handed them their main title rivals?

If a bunch of guys who worked at Walkers Crisps factory broke into my house, I wouldn’t offer them immunity in order to get a few bags of potato chips for free – I would want the guilty parties prosecuted!

Alonso should have been jailed and stripped of his drivers points. His guilt was clear - he admited to cheating.

McLaren should let Alonso go after the Brazil race. The only person that should be in jail is Alonso for using Ferrari intellectual properties and blackmailing his boss which is a criminal act in Great Britain. Also Ferrari have alot of questions to answer to for also using McLaren intellectual properties. F1 is filled with madness may the mad drama contiune.....

Please read, a true British Gentleman Sir Stirling Moss is a man of Decorum, Etiquette and Decency. It's men like Sir Stirling Moss, that make me so very proud to part of the human race.

For Moss the manner in which the battle was fought was as important as the outcome, and this sporting attitude cost him the 1958 World Championship when he stood up for rival Mike Hawthorn, who faced a penalty in Portugal that would, in retrospect, have denied him the points that he needed to beat Moss. Stirling never for one moment entertained any thought of gaining an advantage in such a way, and in any case his natural sense of justice would not have allowed him to see Hawthorn unjustly penalized. So he stepped forward to defend him. Hawthorn subsequently went on to beat Moss by a mere point, even though he had only won one race that year to Moss's four. It was sufficient to make Mike Hawthorn Britain's first World Champion.

A great man!!!

Another Ibiza drunk. Let's see what happens on the civil trial. By the way... if FA did that alone... he developes all the McLaren Team...

Just another poor and pathetic answer.

F1 has changed a lot since then, the big sponsor's are putting pressure on the teams, ethics and morals get thrown out of the window.
