Personally, I would ask to have 13 permanently. I was born on the 13th, so I consider it lucky

Do your parents??

Yes :D

The answer, according to the July 1996 issue of the French Sport-Auto (page 79) is that in the 1926 edition of the Targa Florio, the driver Giulio Masetti died driving a car with the number 13. Masetti had previously won the Targa Florio two times (1921, 1922) and finished in 2nd once (1924). Since that time, the number 13 is not issued by organizers of car races, although a driver is allowed to request it.

If someone gave me a car and a team, I'd drive the number thirteen car for free... ;)

I think you'd not be the only one. Considering drivers are willing to pay for drives.

Yeah, but F1 drivers are all superstitious. Me? I couldn't give a rat's arse. :hehe:

You got one?

I've got a whole rat somewhere in my garden, but if you only want his/her behind, then that's cool, too. :)

some like the number 13 because everyone else doesnt want it!

i dont see the big hoo har about it, if people actually researched the beginings of the badluck associated with the number 13 you would have nothing to fear unless youre a Knights Templar that is ;)

People don't care about the history of anything or whether or not it even makes any sense to cling to stupidstitions.

The number 13 is commonly skipped all over the place. Often times buildings will skip the number thirteen when numbering their floors (and sometimes other numbers people fear, as seen in the image below). There's a horse race track that also skips thirteen when numbering their stalls (second image).
