I can't remember which model I had but it was an all in one, no removable battery, no removable SIM... it had a single line display, which displayed 10 characters, it did not text message... and branded Vodaphone. This was all the way back in 1994... suffice to say I have upgraded somewhat since that time!

My first mobile was a Motorola Graphite. The battery lasted 8 hours at a push. I got it when I was about 19? I think. Which was '96

the evolution of phones seems to have been. Large, smaller, smaller, tiny, touchscreen, bigger, bigger. Not sure if it is a tablet or not!

I sold drug dealers in the Bronx, phones like this for 2 and 3 thousand dollars. If an executive wanted one installed in his limo with a handset in the front for the driver and a handset in the back for them, the install price including equipment was sometimes 8 to 10 thousand dollars.

This was late 80's the era of excess. :cloud9:

What's a rim?

In Andrews case I think it's the edge of the toilet bowl.

The cleaner you mentioned.

My first was the T10, whenever I got an upgrade the old one became my work phone and got destroyed with dust or being crushed.

Oh right. That is one theory to the nickname. Another (and more probable) is that one of the old shunters, who was said to be off his nut, introduced the rim of the cleaners cup to said shunters nether-regions. The cleaner comes along and uses said cup without washing it and the name stuck. Classy(!) :yuck:

I can't remember my first phone model, but it's been Nokias all the way. Currently I have the C3, since I find I have no use for a phone except for text messages, occasional calls, and the alarm clock.

If I upgrade, I honestly do not know what phone to get...I had an infatuation with the Droid Razr Maxx for a bit but it passed. And definitely no iPhone...or Blackberry. Android maybe. But too many out there, that I just couldn't give a f**k right now.

I use disposable cups and hope that no one has got frisky with the entire pack of cups! :hehe: I do work with some foul minkers - one of them left a plate in the sink for so long it was starting to go mouldy. You can tell the ones that still live with mummy and daddy.

I'm really lowering the tone of late. Yesterday it was me gassing the supervisor. Today it's someone humping the cleaners cup. I'll try and do better tomorrow.:hehe:
