Now if this was to take place in the corporate world, the cheaters would be given a bonus, an award and a bonus for their outstanding performance, and the whistle blower would get the standard 3% annual raise.

...and fired down the road...

With a 20 million dollar golden parachute. Force those CEOs to live in shame.

EDIt oh after reading that, I realized you meant the whistle blower would be fired down the road. Double whammy, yes. Of course the CEO would only be fired after an SEC probe, where they would have to resign to get that golden parachute.

In the corporate world, I can assure you I wouldn't even consider whistle blowing. Had a few years working experience and things work in reverse over there. :hehe:

It is not cheating, it is thinking outside the box. You should of seen some of the ways of "storing information" whilst completing training.

I was gonna say let em have this one but tell them not to do it any more or else you'll blow that whistle hard yo! But too late :hehe: sucks for them LOL  If I were to cheat like that I never would have been dumb enough to send it to people I didn't personally know

Do you think if they were smart they'd be cheating?

They are very sloppy leaving all those breadcrumbs. emails? So all can se who? Amateurs! I'd put them on the spit just because of that! Teach 'em how to cheat properly!

What made it decisive for me was the motive. I'm not in their clique and peers who I'm close with were also surprised they sent it to us all since we hardly talk to each other. Basically, I think it was sent to us to shut us up in case it comes out in the near future. Which is mission failed thanks to yours truly. The test is tomorrow morning...and all I hope for is the Prof NOT announcing the name of the whistleblower in class. I asked him to treat my email in confidence...and hope he gets it. :P

You did the correct thing Hammer. Judging by what you've written, you've prepared well for the test, and it would be a shame if others did better than they should've done by cheating.

Hope it goes alright.

Well, there's several ways to look at that question  One might say they were stupid for cheating, another might say they were smart because it's way more efficient, and anybody who has been through college probably knows that at one point or another you might have to sacrifice time/grades in one less important class to succeed in another class that is much more significant to your focus. And I could ramble on several more viewpoints but you get the idea :P perception is key

If they where smart they would cheat and not tell anyone else, plausible deniability!

Work smarter not harder.

 That's where they really $#@!ed up, especially telling people they don't know.

Wow,I appreciate you for doing that,Hammer.Because it's a hard desicion to give, you were right about your doubts.I agree,as long as your name is kept as a secret, that's the best thing to do.I also think there are other people in the class who you don't really talk to,but they think the same thing with you,and maybe they did it too.

I really hate cheating,I want all my grades to belong to me,I sometimes hear some of my friends cheating, and sometimes they end up getting better marks than I get though I studied more, that's pretty annoying.

Btw,it's really unreasonable to give an exam to the classes which will take it on different days,no matter what.

I just received a reply from the Prof today..."Thanks for the heads up", and the exam was completely different. Same concepts though, so its all good. That was fast work by him I must say. :)
