Massa will show in Canada that he is for real and score the triple once again. He is the most hungry out of all drivers in the title fight and for that reason he will take it in 2007......

How far is he behind LH and FA after quali today? And how far behind his own team mate for that matter?

I'm still not convinced about him. In fact the sooner Ferrari start pushing Kimi instead of giving him the cold shoulder, the sooner Ferrari - and Kimi will move ahead.

Going a little OT here to begin with, I was wondering if the whole Kimi saying "I don't need help from Schumacher" is why Schumi is helping Massa and Massa is doing the better job at the moment. Perhaps Kimi puts up this wall and is why he struggled at McLaren.

Coming back to the topic, I honestly think McLaren have produced a very good car and they have landed a couple of very good drivers. But you also have to take into account all the unquantifiable things a quick driver brings to a team. It's all the little things you cant measure. Sponsors get excited, the team works that little bit harder, people feel like they have direction.

Quite often I hear team bosses say in terms of skill, all the drivers in the pitlane are fairly equal, what seperates most of them is confidence and attitude. Why is it so different for the teams? Confidence/attitude/momentum is invaluable and that's also what someone like Alonso can bring to McLaren.

Back that up with a lighting fast Rookie and you have a force that's very hard to stop...

Look at Ferrari, unless Kimi pulls his finger out and starts working with the team and showing the same levels of dedication Schumacher showed they are going to fall back to how they were pre-schumacher.

Drivers do so much more then just drive the car, they are the focal point of the team...

What I want to know is what happened between Melbourne and Sepang. The Ferrari was streets ahead and then...

Flexible floor?

That and development is a moving target. It comes down to who can keep up and Mclaren has two drivers with the quickness, consistency and technical savvy to help develop the car from race to race where Ferrrari only have one driver (Massa) who is technically savvy enough to do this. Maybe thats why Micheal is at these races! :lol

There's alot in that. Mc Laren started the season behind Ferrari - the Bridgestone factor mainly, but have improved with every race.

Ron D said they hoped to find half a second a lap. I think he's on target.

At Ferrari Kimi is blindingly quick but hasn't got the support - partly of his own making. Massa tests well and is quick but not quick enough; certainly not in the same league as Nando.

Remember that Ferrari by their own admittance don't have a driver as good as Shumi, yet Nando beat Shumi to the WC the last 2 years.

Think about it.
