Just as it says...

I've just heard the news from two colleagues and came to read about it here. :crying:

I wasn't thinking about the threes, I was thinking about pairs. A couple of days ago, or probably even last night, I remember thinking that these things come in twos. And I was fearful about the race in India - which was unusually superstitous of me.

For example, Senna and Ratzenberger, or even Massa and Surtees last year, or even on a much smaller scale, Perez and Petrov at Monaco. But if you are looking for your third and it will make you at peace to find your third, look at Kubica this year.

It took me most of the week to get over Dan Wheldon's death and I didn't know him. But Simoncelli? I wouldn't go so far to say he's my favourite rider, but I would go as far to say that whenever I was watching a MotoGP Race or checking the final standings, I was always looking to see where Marco would finish up. I looked forward to a press conference that he gave earlier this year, and I do love his personality - but similar to Hamilton I felt that he needed to work on a few things and very promptly.

I don't think I want to watch the video - but it would perhaps be a lot clearer than Wheldon and Senna's deaths to tell me exactly what happened.

I will however, say that, going into this grand prix, all the drivers will take more note of the risks than usual and not do stupid things.

Not quite like that is it andrew, you ANTI- religous people yet again had a go at me for what was purely a figure of speech in an emotional post. Ridiculously pathetic.

I'm not anti-religous until people start taking things to extremes and committing terrible deeds in the name of their chosen religion. People are free to believe what they like just get things in a bit of perspective. If God exists he or she is not a very nice person going by all the suffering in the world. I can't believe in something like that. Now Jedi, I can believe in!

For example, Senna and Ratzenberger....

Barrichello had a huge crash too at teh same race in one of the practice sessions.

But then we could also count the wheel flying through pit lane as number 4. So the 2 noticeable ones are the ones I mentioned.

Wheel flying through the pitlane in 1994? Can't remember that. I do remember Jos Verstappen's car catching fire in the pits at the German GP during refueling.

Ten laps from the finish the rear-right wheel came loose from Michele Alboreto's Minardi as it left the pit lane, striking two Ferrari and two Lotus mechanics, who were left needing hospital treatment. But there was also this one: At the start of the race, J.J. Lehto stalled his Benetton on the grid. Pedro Lamy, starting from further back on the grid, had his view of the stationary Benetton blocked by other cars and hit the back of Lehto's car, causing bodywork and tyres to fly into the air. Parts of the car went over the safety fencing designed to protect spectators at the startline causing minor injuries to nine people.

Sure they were only minor injuries, but I don't think we are going to start looking for fives....

things happen in twos or threes if you look for them to happen in twos or threes.

And don't forget the start line crash with Pedro Lamy and the pit lane incident where 4 mechanics got hit by a wheel.

I'm very sorry to hear that.. Its no more than 20 minutes away from my house. I was out on a mountain bike this weekend and could have been killed as I took a header right next to a revene near a creek. Maybe death is telling me something... STFU!

RIP Jumping Jimmy..
