Anyone read the latest article by Hugh Podmore on the news section of this site?

http://www.forumula1.com/news/see-world-lewis/

I've never rated the guy but this is the pits. He's just made up a load of drivel. I wonder how many people get put off the site by that sort of biased crap passing for a news article? ...

Ahem... are we talking about the Judge? :whip:

No comparison.

I believe that depends on one's perspective!

I was thinking more that one goes to the races and press conferences, has been involved with F1 for over thirty years and has many friends there, has over 12k twitter followers from all over the world, has his own site which he updates throughout each day and writes on all aspects of F1 giving news as it breaks. His articles always instigate many comments and discussion.
The other I doubt anyone has ever heard of if they aren't a member if this forum. In fact I'd hazard a guess there are plenty on this forum that haven't heard of him. And there is never any discussion following his articles. So I'd say no comparison, one I think has far more credibility than the other.

That may be; but, credibility isn't necessarily based on numbers.

I'm sure you'll agree that when someone makes a comment that
is in line with what you believe/expect, you will grant them more
credibility than someone who presents an opposing viewpoint to
your own.

It's about perspective. It's about subjectivity. It's not always about
numbers, unless those numbers are also people who hold the same
point of view as your own, in which case we hold them up as proof.

Rosberg surely will be targeting leading the wdc going into the summer break. If he can lead going into Spa the team may support him for the title. So he will have alot of work to do in the next five races, expect more tricks imo as he isn't as good as Hamilton head to head.

Hey, overboost!! Just wanted to say:

Speak for yourself, I'd much rather know the truth than be right. Huge Crapmore aspires to the accuracy of a broken clock.

I'm not talking about lying to yourself!
Ah, whatever... in the end, we're all too "old"
to be swayed by what others think, say, do!!

I don't always agree with the things the judge says but he provides facts, as well as his own take on things, on a whole range of topics. He's been critical of Hamilton. So no, that's not why I like the Judges articles. From Hugh Podmore all I ever read us drivel. I get more information from contributors posting in this forum than from him, and that passes as a news article. Pah!

You do know that anyone can write for the site news.

How does one go about it? Do you have to apply? I may give it a go when I get a little time.

I didn't think anyone could write for the site news?? How does it work then?

Apparently it helps if you've got an agenda against Lewis Hamilton and have an 8th grade education.
