i think you've made a mistake Kiki you've put a #4 after 2 for Hamilton.

Ha! Even if that were so, Alonso would still be NUMERO UNO. :D:thumbup::hehe:

I agree Alonso is proberly slightly better than Lewis.

Ha???? You're actually agreeing with me? Although in all honesty I don't know if Alonso is really better than Lewis Hamilton. I am just hoping he is. :D

Ha?!!!? are you doubting your new all start driver already?! :P

:hehe: I just wanted to bring a smile to your face and by making my comment I did! :wavey:

Here is my rank.

1.Alonso
2.Vettel
3.Kimi
4.Massa
5.Barrichello
6.Button
7.Webber

Miss a few, the rest in the middle here somewhere.

24.Hamilton

the only ranking that counts....

So you hate Lewis more than you like Massa nice one Tony says alot that.

Hate is such a strong word LB... I dont hate the guy - I think he's a good driver and he has a lot of growing to do.
Its all in the attitude - look at Vettel. he's great, isnt he.

If you think that he's a "good driver" then why do you agree that he should be ranked 24th? Or am I reading your post incorrectly?

Amanda, you must realise this of certain members. They post for ours and their own entertainment. It is futile to argue with these people unless you do so with the intention of sustaining the argument for your own enjoyment.

I'm not attempting to start or prolong an argument, I'm just curious to know whether I've misinterpreted Tony's earlier post. If I haven't then Tony and I must be using different methods to rank the drivers, making our rankings incomparable.

I don't get it, I see Hamilton as a very sympathetic guy in every interview and just not because I like him. I think people don't like him because he's a bit arrogant and egoistic, but that's why he's a world champion. Every champion is super-confident.

A very offtopic question atm but I've seen videos of Hungary 2006 and how Alonso took 6 positions in first lap - wtf was that :D Did he have different tyres? I started watching F1 in 2008 so I haven't seen Alonso in a great car, but that video impressed me very much!

Our F1 coverage here in the states is very limited compared to say the BBC but I have always thought that Lewis handles himself in a very gracious and humble manner.

Just my outlook,

Here's an onboard link if anyone is interested. (also if you watch that video all the way through you see him casually cruising around the outside of one Michael Schumacher) Even if it was tyres, he obviously called it better than anyone else, which brings me onto my next point...

Even if you only started watching in '08 you should have seen a few instances of where Alonso demonstrated why, for me, he is the best driver - the brilliant tyre change at Spa and the last minute strategy revamp at Fuji. They are just two examples off the top of my head from last year, there are many more... I don't think any other current driver possesses the ability to think on their feet and make those sorts of calls quite as well as him, which is what sets him apart.

edit: Here's a video of the final lap onboard his car at Spa last year.
