Proper Orange ;)

Its worth noting that i'm actually part of a charity to by myself one of these!

Its a worthy cause i'm sure you'll agree, if you wish to donate please PM

Thanks

The McLaren F1 is a brilliant looking machine. It looks great in silver, black or orange. Sure, a couple of cars go faster on paper than it now, but it was well ahead of its time and is still ahead of them in some areas. Its engine is a wonderful feat of engineering. On top of that, it's a McLaren.

I'd like to donate you some money, but I'd rather keep it for myself so I may end up getting one. :hehe:

Just quickly while we are talking about the McLaren F1, I would like to see McLaren build a second version of it. Since Murray designed the original, technology in a number of areas has progressed and there are ways in which the original could have been tweaked to improve its performance slightly. Beating the Bugatti Veyron is possible.

Its engine is a nice piece of engineering, by BMW of course. :hehe: And maybe one day McLaren will make another road car with a Mercedes engine in it as well. Just like in their F1 cars, they can't make their own engines. A real car builder makes their own engines. As nice as the McLaren F1 road car is, it isn't a full 100 percent McLaren because its engine isn't McLaren and that cannot change ever until McLaren decides to build its own.

Now lets hope that Ferrari's next supercar the F-70 will blow that McLaren-BMW F1 road car away. Here are a few possible versions of what that car may look like.

I don't believe Mercedes is the future. In fact, I think you are letting your blind hatred for McLaren cloud your judgement.

That seems to be uncureable but your good points about McLaren do make sense. :)

The first picture is the P4/5. I saw it's introduction in France during a course I had to follow. While listening to the 'incredible' boring teacher, we all heard an amazing noice outside. A great motorsound...

I left the lesson by telling I had to go to the toilet but I ran to the circuit next to the building.
And there it was, at highspeed ... driven by Rene Arnoux !!! Delegates of the Scuderia Ferrari and the owner of the car (some american industrial guy ...)! Great car, great noize !!!

Your right so it wont be that car (The F-70).

From Wikipedia.org

The Ferrari P4/5 (officially known as the Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina) is a one-off Sports Car made by Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari but redesigned by Pininfarina for film director and stock exchange magnate James Glickenhaus. The car was an Enzo Ferrari but the owner James Glickenhaus preferred the styling of Ferrari's 1960s race cars, the P Series.[1] The project cost Glickenhaus US$ 4 million and was officially presented to the public in August 2006 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elégance, but in July 2006 Glickenhaus allowed several websites to publish images of the clay model.[2][3][4]

and that is just the start of the long article.

I know it wont be the last picture either. But if its any of the others (there are just 2 because the one with the rear picture is the same car as the one you see at the front) then they would all be great......

a real car builder makes its own electronics, a real car builder builds its own gear boxes, a real car builder makes its own brakes, a real car builder makes its own apoulstery, a real car builder makes its own rims, a real car builder makes its own tyres.... shall we go on?

not every car make begins life as an engine builder! which is what Enzo was an engine builder! while people like Bruce McLaren were driver/engineers who made chassis'

F-70 - 2009-10

Mclaren F1 - 1992

10 Years too Late and before you bring it up the F-50 was a bag of crap that no one knows or cares about
