as the STR and the Redbull is basically the same car is the Ferrari engine that bad or is it the drivers?

I think the Toyota's are being underated but who is running KERS in the next race?

The drivers need some confidence. The Ferrari engine is top two.

I think people are underestimating Toyota.

Ditto x10

They're seriously quick right now, easily mixing it right at the front of the chasers.

I agree they're good(5th at worst) but how come generally, in that race, they were no better than lewis whose car is crap?

Finished ahead of him (well one did)
Started from a lower grid placing too.
Lewis was helped by the safety car situation - no doubting that,
But also no doubting his overall drive was superb.

That one place is neither here nor there as you well know. It was right at the end of the race and they were pretty much together, the other one was behind.
Not much difference in the starting positions and the toyotas were safely out the way of the first corner incident.
Safety car helped them all bunch up.
I grant you your last point

Trust me the Toyota is a stronger package than the Mclaren.
If they hadn't had their Qually DQ godness knows how they'd have done!

It does make sense. They started more or less together and they finished more or less together and yet the Toyota is a way better package. So...... :D

SO it was partly luck, partly good strategy by Mclaren to run Lewis on the primes at the start.
Plus I do think Lewis is more talented than the two Toyota drivers atm.

It was a 3rd place, you'd think he'd just won another title... Alonso finished forth last year in a bad package... I didn't make such a fuss.

Yeah, and Ferrari  i'm sure Kubica was splitting them and had the same tyre strategy on the go....?

I dont think Ferrari as strong as Brawn, Toyota, Williams, BMW, and Red Bull. I think Toyota dropped the ball in Australia, because I think they could've easily challenged for the win. Like EwmanM has said before, we will see where the teams really are in Malaysia.

Well I wouldn't say the Ferrari engine is necessarily bad. It's just that after the engine freeze was "defrosted" :hehe: for Renault to develop their engine it's worked wonders for the RB team.

The drivers are a big factor as well. Vettel can do wonders with nearly any car on the grid and Webber always outperforms what should be expected of the car. Although DC's performances last season put MW in a good light he still performed above average for RBR.
