The results show that Brawn has the best car followed by

Mclaren then Toyota but obviously this isn't the case.

Base on Qualifying an Race pace what do you think the standing is at the moment?

I think its

Brawn
Red Bull
Toyota
BWM
Williams
Mclaren
Ferrari
Renault
Torro Rosso
Force India

I think Mclaren are slightly ahead of Ferrari and Renault based on race pace of Lewis against Massa and Alonso i think the Kers system of Mclaren is better even if the car isn't

Red Bull's pace was deceptive - see how much fuel they had on board for example.

Thus it's between Brawn & Toyota for 1st with Brawn having a slight edge, then Red Bull.

Williams is next up followed by the non KERS Sauber.

Then there's very little to split Ferrari & Renault, at least, Alonso's Renault.

The rest are all pretty much equal last.

Given that KERS should be more of a benefit & less of a hinderence in Malaysia I think the advantage the non KERS user have will be reduced.

As for winners, I think Toyota will do very well there.

As i've said, Malaysia will hopefully reveal some sort of pecking order.

I think its more like the following:

1. Brawn
2. Williams
3. Red Bull
4. Ferrari
5. BWM
6. Renault
7. Toyota
8. Mclaren
9. Torro Rosso
10. Force India

1. is clear, though still not sure if they can perform two races in the row as well, pitstops had some problems already in Melbourne.
2 to 5 are all pretty close, rest is what it is. Actually in Sepang Ferrari has been traditionally strong, so would expect this time too.

Brawn
Williams
BMW
Red Bull
Toyota
Ferrari
Renault
McLaren
Force India
Toro Rosso

Based on the kind of lap times each team was setting during the race.

However, due to the huge differences between strategies, this weekend is not an accurate indication of relative pace.

BMW has to have two berths - seeing as they run with and without kers

I think Id go with this order. Not sure how id place 2nd, 3rd and 4th between Red bull, williams and BMW. I think it will difffer from race to race depending which track suits these 3 cars, how well the drivers perform and how the tyres work.

Yep, I agree. I can't really choose between them, but I do think they're all a bit ahead of the other group.

I think people are underestimating Toyota.

Ditto x10

They're seriously quick right now, easily mixing it right at the front of the chasers.

Trulli may sneak pole in Malaysia. I said it in the other thread, but watch this space.

as the STR and the Redbull is basically the same car is the Ferrari engine that bad or is it the drivers?

I think the Toyota's are being underated but who is running KERS in the next race?

Probably the same as Australia, due to the short space of time.
