U should have mixed feelings right now? Well ohh well......Hammy did what had to be done. Toyota are in the balance of either falling or climbing, this would have knocked them just a little bit. But they still have next race to prove thee worth, this is F1 people and dang it can be a BIATCH!!

The great one proves it again! How many drivers can go from 18th to 3rd. lewis Hamilton takes his first step in winning his second F1 championship. Need I say more. I did say he would shock the racing world.

Uh, JT from the pitlane to 3rd until penalized...

Glock from dead-last to fifth was also suitably impressive. And these two guys aren't considered to be even remotely close to Lewis' abilities by the majority of Lewis' fans.

Damn right, Toyota did a brilliant job.

Though I still want to know why Truili started ahead of Glock. At least I think thats what happened. Glock qualified ahead so it's only fair he would start ahead. Anyways Glock made some awesome moves today, the one down turn 3 on Alonso was brilliant. Down the outside, and then cut in and got the better line for turn 4. I think he pulled that off twice flawlessly.

The only reason people are making more hype about Lewis' drive is because of the state of the car. All the same, it was the top half the grid making a mess of things that made everyone else look good today.

Great drive by Hamilton. From 18th to 3rd is no mean feat especially given the frailities of the McLaren. Prior to the race on the Aussie TV broadcast Hamilton was aked if starting at 18th and finishing well ahead would prove why he's deserving of being the world champion. Lewis frankly replied that he didn't have to prove that. I was a little taken back by his comment- it seem to border on arrogance. I myself have not been fully convinced that Hamilton is deserving of a place in the pantheon of truly great drivers despite th young age at which he won the WDC- the likes of Senna, Schumacher, Piquet, Prost, Moss, Brabham all seem to me at least much finer racing car drivers. However his performance yesterday was terrific and displayed a certain level of maturity and aggressiveness that I haven't seen in him previously. Congratulations Lewis.

If the question was as you said, then I don't blame Hamilton for what he said. Regardless of whether or not people believe Hamilton to be an all-time great, he won the title fair and square last season, even with the FIA ganging up against McLaren.

Toyota probably would've won it if Brawn never made it to the grid. I would like to see them battle it out with Brawn next week.

Weird, usually when you lose places due to safety cars and other factors out of your control it's called getting unlucky. But here, when Lewis gains places it's just sheer driving brilliance and brilliant team stragtegy. Oh well.

He stayed out of trouble, I'll give him that. I still think he's an arrogant c-unt for how he's conducted him self on and off the track in previous seasons and that will always affect my opinion on him and how he does.

Seems to me the only driver who wasn't benefited by the safety cars and Vettle/Kubica incident was Button. So yeah, Lewis got lucky, and so did almost every other driver on the grid. So whats your point? Oh yeah, your point is that you dislike Hamilton. Post it in the Dissenters thread please.

Toyota are apealing though so i wouldnt celebrate just yet. :)

And Toyota rightfully should win. This is absurd. Hamilton the man that has the "Luck of the Irish" behind him has surely got to run out of luck. He gets 3rd now when he should of gotten no points. Either way Trulli got the short end of the stick because of a stupid safety car incident invloving other drivers. It certainly isn't fair. Toyota and Trulli will get those points back. And now going back to this super improved performance by the Brawn cars, Toyota and Williams. Would be nice to see Trulli do well I guess. He is Italian after all. Stuff Hamilton, Trulli deserves the podium spot back.:yes:

He won it because of your saying. "the Luck of the Irish". In other words had Ferrari had not had their problems Hamilton wouldn't of won. Sad he did because it would be hard for Hamilton to win it this year (Judging McLaren's current pace) meaning had he not scored lucky last season, he probably never would of won anything as he really deserves. Well at least for a while anyway.

Hi AKR. yes you said it. I dont want to respond to some of the okes in here with their inability to think straight. most of hamiltons so-called achievements happened on the back of other drivers. clearly his luck will run out at some point and then most of his dumbo supporters will eventually either disappear of jump on another bandwagon and I will be there to remind em when that happens.

Ummmm....my point was he got lucky and since some argue that luck had nothing to do with it I guess it's not as clear cut as you make it sound.

No you right - he got lucky like many times b4. The next time you see kimi tell him he's a idiot. tell him we need him to stop drinking the night b4 a race. he would have been second. To be honest - its bcoz of stupid moves like that and RK's s*** that idiots like hamilton get thing falling in their lap.

Hey, it was a great show. Everybody got their money's worth except the red team fans---ha ha!!

Now sir you are just being rude, Lewis only got that from luck. Or a fluke as some say. I have no problem with Lewis getting 3rd, it was well deserved. But you are just talking SHI-TTTT!!! So please re-phrase what you have said because we had problem? If next race you have problem I will dance round a sombrero laughing at you. No that’s bad sportsmanship; I guess you really are taking after the cocky EDIT. Why can't u be a good McLaren fan like 'McLaren Fan or Bud' you are what make me hate McLaren
