wow you guys love your argue about the current season with the past just trying to get used to it  my drivers of the day were Vettel, Button and Trulli my star man. even though Trulli was maybe in the wrong at the end starting at the back to get to 3rd is amazing! and glock did well also. I think if Toyota get the rub of the green next weekend they are the team to watch for sure.

p.s how lucky are Barrichello and Hamilition?

dont really get how hamilton you classed as lucky ?

Vettel, Kubica, Raikkonen, Piquet, Webber, Heidfeld, Rosberg, Nakajima all having problems; Trulli being penalised. He drove superbly, but he was very lucky. Had there been no drivers out of the race, he would not have been sniffing at points, let alone an inherited podium.

if i remember Heidfeld got taken out for the 1st lap , rosberg killed his tyres , nakajima went wide and lost the car , piquet out braked him self trying to be a hero and kubica hardly gave vettel room ..........they all look like driver error to me....rather than just luck..im pritty sure is hamilton crashed or anything like that you would all sat driver error not luck for the people behind him

This is why I don't get involved in discussions with hardcore Lewis fans - you always have to take every comment or action as being negative and that somebody is picking on him.

Driver error or not, Hamilton was lucky that they made such mistakes. Similarly, he was lucky that people got driven in to. And for the record, no, I'd still count it as luck. Maybe instead of just being like every other Lewis fan, you could actually stop, use your brain and realise that we're not all Lewis-haters.

to be honest i think it was an awesome drive with a crap car (one of the best drivers in the race not to take anything away from jenson ! ),,,and no im not taking it negative i just dont get why people all the the stuff ive looked at call driver error luck  its not its there mistake :)

Once again:

Piquet was (And yes, I know it's unusual) not at fault in his spin. It was inevitable that someone would spin, the Safety car was out at least 1 lap too long - thankyou very much Lapped Traffic rule :banghead: .

another thing i would like to point out if anybody watched practise did you hear david croft and antony davidson talking about rubens and bruno senna saying that how rubens should have the seat (which i agree with in light of what was happening with honda/brawn) and how senna isnt all hes cracked up to be (i know with that name would come a lot of expection) but did u hear him say you sould win some form of championship before you get to f1 ? i dunno if im just being picky but i dont belive sébastien buemi has won again ? :irked:

Yeah I think Davidson was being too harsh on Bruno. Bruno was in contention for the title but had all sorts of bad luck happen to him. Buemi only won a few races because of the reverse grids rule.

Your decoration, post-content and general attitude suggest otherwise. I didn't say there was only luck involved. If you read my post you'll find that what I actually said was that without the luck his great drive would not have gotten him as far up the grid as he ended up. Finally, you implied it by using the single line that is used, universally, when somebody wants to brand somebody else a Lewis or McLaren hater: it would all have been different if it happened to Lewis/McLaren. Or if Lewis/McLaren did that, they'd totally have a penalty.

I see it often enough that it stands out like a sore thumb.

Yes. Nelson has been put down unfairly today.

I think you're mis-construing Denthul's point. He's not questioning the quality of Hamilton's drive, he's just saying the result would not have been as impressive had it not been for problems elsewhere. Luck didn't come into the Rubens thing as he was categorically not in the wrong.

no hes questioning thats i wont have a bad word said about lewis hamilton by defending him and thinking hes a "LEWIS-HATER"
#99225
but all im trying to say is that if it hadnt have been for thing elsewhere rubens would not have had the same result either :)...both drives were amazing and both drives had a slight amount of luck..not that much luck tho

Just read that Hamilton's fastest race lap was still slower than the fastest race laps of the Force Indias.

:irked: Just Imagine where he'd have finished if lady luck hadn't been on his side today and we'd have got a boring procession?

If you look at the detailed sector times from FIA site, it gives you a hint that McLaren might still be suitable for some races.

Hamilton was actually 3rd fastest in sector 2, only behind Vettel and Button. Sectors 1 & 3 he was 16th and 15th.

Only Rosberg, Vettel and Button are consistently in top5 for all sectors.

And on speed traps Hamilton shared the fastest top speed with Sutil.

haha lady luck for Hammy huh the guy cant get a break from some peeps it seems. Racing has and always has been about luck! the unknown of what can happen next, and your position isnt certain until you cross the finish line.
so in that sense by driving a clean solid race from the back of the grid to finish where he did is deserving of respect.
