If McLaren don’t have a new decent 2 deck diffuser by the time they get to China I would be very disappointed I would also like to see a new front wing by that time as well.

But what if you only have to get past 3 or 4 non KERS drivers to get to the front imagine if BGP and Williams are P 1,2,3,4 then say Ferrari P 5, 6 with KERS. Remember that video of the Ferrari vs McLaren practise start I think the Ferrari used KERS and the McLaren didn't that's how much of a difference I think it could make.

How much do the drivers have to do to charge the KERS device. Will we see "antics" on the warmup lap from those wtih KERS?

The KERS charges under braking. Drivers do plenty of heavy braking on the warm up lap already to get their brakes warm. We probably wont see much of a different behavior.

The diffusers are certainly worth a lot. What bugs me a little is that we have to wait a month for a ruling on them. Meaning those with them don't know weather to stop using them yet, and those without them don't know weather to incorporate them in the design or not. A lot of money and time could go down the drain for teams over this one. Why can't they have said "yes" or "no" already so everyone knows where they stand and what they should do.

As has been said before, the FIA could have sorted this issue weeks ago, and it would certainly fit in with their mantra of keeping costs down etc., but it's a good way to create division amongst the teams (i.e. FOTA). Divide et impera.

This diffuser is threatening to destroy the recent unity developed through FOTA and make sure Max and Bernie stay in complete control. I bet anything that the appeal that the teams lodge is thrown out and they spend the rest of the year trying to develop a diffuser that matches Brawn, Williams etc.

Some will be able but others won't be able to add it to their car this causing disunity and a less effective FOTA. Call me paranoid but that is what this sport has done to me!

I posted this earlier on another thread but I'll repost it here-

Thats what the FIA want, its why hey let this diffuser drag on and its why they declared those three teams egal. Mosely and Ecclestone are desperate to divide FOTA to retain their power but FOTA have spoken thus

Mario Theissen - " there is a clean line between moving forward jointly in order to shape the future of F1 from our perspective on one hand, and on the other hand there is the daily operational business which is competition and this (diffuser dispute) is one of those second issues"

John Fowett(Toyota) FOTA vice chairperson - "I can't understand that it (The diffuser issue) is anything to do with FOTA.In FOTA we talk about long-term strategic issues for developing the sport for the future, things that are right"

Stick together boys and after 2012 you can kiss goobye to the shisters!

Apparently Ferrari would have to redesign their gearbox casing if they want to have a proper 2 deck diffuser which will cost them time and money because magnesium alloy casting is not quick or cheap! I wonder if any other teams would have to do that?
