Confirmation on the FIA website of the standings (the two pdf files under Drivers' championship & constructors' championship), confirming Hamilton in third, and also Bourdais now in the points (now both STR's in the points!). Be interesting to read the explanation of all of the stewards decisions when that file is available shortly! :)

Oh please, people here call Kimi a drunk and a washed up has been and i'm trying to cause trouble? This deserves a lol.

but kimi is a drunk thats just how he rolls...
Hamilton was more than lucky his car is underperforming and he drove a solid race and stayed out of trouble - i think we saw a more mature hamilton in this race than previously

agreed... he overtook others fair and square...

Yeah, I believe Hammy did a great job. Toyota though? I think something’s there that shouldn't! McLaren have the same diffuser and outpaced them  lets hope next race we all have the same system and there can be no more debates!!! :banghead: because this feels like an endless argument that does my head in!!

McLaren's diffuser isn't quite the same. They've not gone with the contentious section that Brawn, Williams and Toyota have on theirs. But, yes, point taken, it's been slightly updated, shall we say. Toyota seem to produce funny cars. For a large chunk of their history, their car has been fast in patches, but only in patches. This morning they were rather slow until the closing stages of the race.

Totally agree, I’m beginning to question the sport and if these changes are for the better of the sport? We do have more of a stir up. Which I find intriguing? But with the other part of the sport I’m finding it be a major screw up that soon will be undo-able. It is not becoming of enjoyable experience but more of a stressful one. Last season was a fair race that was in my way believable, but the sport is becoming to.... Dreamy? Like when I play my F1 game and I’m racing in my Williams and I win that is un-realistic but in the 2009 season it is becoming more realistic? Allot more fun but then that comes with the price of what is different? There should be strict rules that should be made apparent at the beginning of the season? But people are taking advantage! I’m missing the Schumi days were the rules was hard but we had good under standing of F1. Now it’s a cloud that we can all ride on...Maybe my Mazda Barber days are not over? Maybe I should go back the U.S Go back into to racing school and hop onto the F1 bandwagon ;)

Oh what dream F1 is becoming :cloud9:

Lewis Hamilton
“We scored way more points than we could have realistically expected. I was looking to try and get one point, so to get six is a great achievement. We’ve definitely not forgotten how to win: our strategy was perfect and the team did a fantastic job. Considering the package we’ve got, I wrung every last ounce of pace out of the car, drove one of my best ever races and absolutely raced my heart out – I’m so satisfied.
Also, my heartfelt congratulations to Jenson – he’s driven brilliantly all weekend and both he and his team really deserve this success.”

Heikki Kovalainen
“Obviously, my race was very short. Webber had a moment at the first corner and his front wheel hit my left-front. It was a racing accident – these things unfortunately happen.”

Martin Whitmarsh, Team Principal
“Today was one of those days on which Lewis demonstrated very clearly just what a fantastic racing driver he is. Throughout the race he showed great speed and tenacity, tempered when necessary by commendable patience. The car we supplied him wasn’t as competitive as we’d have liked it to be – we’ve made no secret of that – but we’re working flat-out, night and day, to improve it. The points Lewis scored today are of course very welcome – and, as and when we regain our form, we hope they’ll take on a greater significance still. As for Heikki, he started with a heavy fuel-load and could also have scored points today – but, sadly, and blamelessly on his part, his race was ended early on when he happened upon an incident involving two other cars. Lastly, well done to all at Brawn GP – and of course also to Mercedes-Benz, whose superb engines powered the first three cars.”

Norbert Haug, Mercedes VP
“Lewis finally in third place and the best car with KERS – this is more than we had expected after starting 18th. He drove an excellent race under very difficult circumstances and proved his world-champion class. During the second Safety Car period, Trulli had an off and Lewis overtook him for third place, but he let Trulli past again. But the stewards’ decision after the race gave him back third place. It’s a shame for Heikki; without the first-corner multiple-car collision which was not his fault, he also could have scored a solid result in this turbulent race. Congratulations to Brawn GP, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello on their one-two victory – three times Mercedes-powered cars in the top three makes us happy. Our customer team did a great job and we helped to ‘Keep the Customer Satisfied’!”

Kimi a drunk? He stopped the drinking so get your facts right. Plus he's a multi millionaire? He could drive that car like a grandma and still be the 5th richest sportsman in the world :)
Currently that is. So stop taking pops at him? It’s doubtful those comment will flow from your fingers when the Iceman bites back soon :)

Read his Biography...now that man is a true talent :) going round Brazil? Hey com'on now they were the 'OLD' days? We now have rules that can be broken ;) we'll design a rocket car...hard turning but awesome front line speed :D

It is becoming more of a dream sport than real. I can now play my F1 game and believe that I am winning every race with a Williams :) beating Schumi by 3++ laps.
