Whatever corporate name/image they slap on it, underneath the car will still be Honda's surprise legacy and the team will still be the work of Brawn.

Seems strange that all rivals would have to agree to a name change.

isnt the enginge a mclaren

mercedes engine

same company

not at all.. macca is a coach house.... they build around engines...

ok what ever ya say

its close to mclarens mercedes engine.....but mercedes would never give there top spec engine to a customer team so its just a mercedes engine :)

its just a slighty downgraded version on mclaren merceds engine........but concidering how hard every1 has worked at brawn/honda i think they should keep brawn gp and best of luck to them :)

Is there any evidence that the Mercedes engine in the Brawn, or the Force India is downgraded. Just because McLaren have used the Merc engine for over a decade and a half, does that mean they must get preferential treatment? Isn't it in Mercedes' interest to give all their clients the best, for the sake of their own success?

they are but Mclaren Mercedes is there front house name, so they well always get the better car.

Why is it that you seem to believe McLaren aren't a Mercedes customer? They used to use Honda engines you know.

The have a really nice BMW F1 road going car :wavey: I think Mercedes did buy into shares of McLaren but I would call the engine a McLaren engine. They've built for all type of auto manufactures in the past... Even.. dare I say... Honda.

"Engines are supplied by McLaren shareholder Mercedes-Benz through Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines"....yes i know they used honda engines they also used peugeot ones to , and if you remember they also used another mercedes engine as a customer engine a few years ago ! :)

Ok. I wasn't sure.
I guess Brawn's version is still kickass though. JB and RB are really loving it.
