How can some of those qual times be MORE THAN 2 SECONDS quicker than pole for last year in Melbourne!! How do they achieve that with all the new rules and regs.

Hell, they are only a COUPLE OF HUNDREDTHS off the lap record of 04, and that was with V10's and all the aero!!!

Whats up with that? Its great, glad to see it.

Its nice to see Branson involved in the sport, funny when he said a little sweary word. Well done Ross, and well done to the 2 Brawn drivers. I like the banter between D.C and Eddie Jordan. Roll on tomorrow

Eddie Jordan - "This is fairy tale stuff"

I'm very happy, because 2 of the nicest guys in F1 are on the front row. The new BBC coverage is so refreshing. And although Brawn appear to be dominating, I think tomorrows race is still going to be full of excitement from the front to the back of the pack.

SV in a Red Bull w/o KERS and w/o the Venturi diffuser in third!! Just imagine what they will do once they fit a new diffuser and the KERS system :yikes:
Their car is an aerodynamic beast already!!

Depends how reliable it is. Remember Newey's old trait?
But your right it may shine

Traditional Newey cars have been fast but fragile, stretching the limits of the rules etc.
Vettel's stop in P1 yesterday only highlights that it isn't bullet proof.

Well it went exactly as I suspected yesterday, with Brawn coming through to be scrapping for pole between them. (I did mention that I thought this would happen yesterday! :D ).

What I really didn't see coming was the performance of the Red Bull's. I had high hopes for them when their car was first unveiled, but not much expectation after testing.

I don't like to see any car fall away from the front such as McLaren or Ferrari, (as Williams did for a number of years) but it's great for F1 to have other teams fighting it out for pole for a change.
