Try seeing it Bernie's way:-

He can't charge his normal fees in the US 'cos the people that go to a GP in the US aren't prepared to pay anywhere near as much as people elsewhere. Thus if the teams won't take less for being there Bernie loses out & why should he lose out? The US isn't as important to him, a seller of GPs, as it is to the teams' sponsors.

So from his perspective the teams probably did frustrate the US GP.

As I've said before, Bernie is no saint, far from it but he's not senile.

Ecclestone is clearly getting frustrated. His wife has left him and stands to take hundreds of millions of dollars from him - if he's lucky - Mosley is not really his friend any more, and FOTA are f***ing things up. His constantly running to the media is a reflexion of these things. He needs to see a shrink.

The Walt Disney Company would be delighted to accommodate you Mr. Ecclestone. They happen to be relatively well off and they own this relatively large piece of land, right in the heart of the world's greatest tourism and travel hub. Perhaps you've heard of it?

(For the record: This is not conjecture, Disney wants to host a Grand Prix at one of their Resorts, at the moment WDW is the favourite)
