Its been so long since we have had an F1 game for PC. Not since 2002 have we had a PC F1 game with the largely successful Geoff Crammonds Grand Prix 4 and the not so successful F1 2002 by EA Sports but in 2009 we shall finally be getting a new F1 game at last.

Codemasters have managed to obtain the rights to make an F1 game for 09 and their should be several installations in the series starting off with Formula 1 2009 or F1 2009 based on the 08 season and should make future games on previous F1 seasons. Lookin forward to it and will be snatchin it out of the local game store as soon as it is released. Anyone else goin for it???????

That should be mad. I'll buy it on eBay, make a copy, install by using the copy on my PC to make sure it works plus get the patch from www.gamecopyworld.com, and then re-sell the original dvd again on eBay and because I get to get free Express Post Satchels from work, I can put it back listed for very much the price I paid for it and the free shipping option will attract buyers and thus I get the game for free. I am a shify little Slovenian-Italian..... :hehe::D

You're forgetting F1 Challenge '99-02, which is brilliant! :D

I will certainly be buying the new Codemasters title if they release it on the PC. I'm not altogether a fan of console gaming (complete opposite of bud). I can't play a first-person shooter with a gamepad and driving a car with one doesn't seem like too much fun, either. Guess when it comes to games like Tekken, Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat II, though, I couldn't play them on a PC.

I use rFactor's F1 mods on the PC which are brilliant, particularly the new F1 2006 mod by CTDP. :)

I'm getting the new Codemasters F1 game for the XBox 360 when it comes out.

is rFactor any good? I have never really tried it.

It's brilliant. The game is downloadable, all you pay for is a licence to activate the full version. You can drive F1 cars, Sportscars, Touring Cars, Indy Cars, Karts... the possibilities are endless. You can download all these mods and tracks from www.rfactorcentral.com. And the best thing about mods such as F1 2006 by CTDP is the accuracy of the physics and attention to detail with track specific car shapes and liveries.

I'd suggest you try out the demo first to see if it's to your liking. :)

i use my PS3 for gaming, not a fan of PC gaming

Well, you're in luck, as the last time I checked it was included as a release for the PS3 as well.

Same here.

When it comes to driving games Codemasters are King. Simple as that.
