There are rumors that McLaren overnight had to change LH's engine. Supposedly they did it behind closed doors so that the competition wouldn't know and adjust their strategy. Officially, it would be announced by the race stewards only after quali. Windsor asked an official the question and he said he couldn't say.

they did change his engine. The rules are that until the cars go out on Saturday its ok to change an engine without penalty. Once on the track the rules take effect.

Just finished watching the qualies and LH has done it again! :D After Alonso being fastest all weekend I can only guess that he will make his stop after LH. But LH was definitely on his game! The difference is only just over a 10th so its hard to say. Alonso did not look too happy in the interviews and neither driver looked at the other,...

Massa also out qualies Kimi so we could be in for another Maca 1-2! Go LH! Yea!

1 LH
2 Alonso
3 Massa
4 Kimi

Yup, no consequences for the engine change.
FA must be feeling like second fiddle. Knowing that most cameras trained on the McLaren box were there because of LH and not him, the defending WC - ouch!
Not one camera was in front of the Renault pits - the defending CWC - double ouch!

So who was right?

Glad all the guys betting against another Lewis win weren't putting any money down.

Great race. Macca still totally superior. Ferrari some 15 seconds down at one stage, and still quickest of the rest.

Thank you Ron Dennis for allowing your drivers to entertain us. Ferrari would never allow that in Shumi's day. Kimi's different. he has a point to make and couldn't give a dried fig what Ferrari think. I'm sure that had he got a proper chance to take Massa he would have done.

And now to Bernie. So Bernie doesn't like Indy - for financial reasons of course. Everything Bernie does revolves around money. But for us spectators, millions of us everywhere, Indy produces some good close racing and overtaking. But that doesn't matter, does it.

It was nice to see the 2 Ferraris having a showdown, when was the last time we saw that?? You'd have to go back to 1995!

Yea Bernie is too much about making money. Its rather pathetic actually. An old man who tarnishes his legacy because he has to make that last $.1.

If he cared about the sport he would donated his digital production company to the sport and we would be getting high definition digital world feeds! The worlds biggest TV draw and the worst coverage. Screw Bernie. :P

What a shame that he should be remembered as the world's biggest miser.

He could do a couple of things - someone suggested passing TV rights - with which we will remember him when he goes - he's 70 something so he hasn't got all that long - instead as things are we will remember him for his greed and nothing else.
