Hey guys (and girls), I'm brand new to the forum. Live in Phoenix, AZ, US. I've been following F1 since 2001. Thanks to the creation of the DVR, I have been able to watch the broadcasts here in the states. If only they showed the WRC on TV out here I would be in heaven!

I'm hoping to find a few fans near my area, that we can watch races and have good times. 90% of people here in the states don't really know what F1 is. When I ask if someone watches/follows F1, they respond "Oh, yeah that's the racing with that chick(Danica Patrick)." It is a sad state of affairs... I live for F1, and can't wait for the season to start!

Not quite in your neighborhood (NY), but at least on the same continent Used to live in San Diego, so I know AZ quite well...
And I agree with your assessment, the average American is not up to snuff with F1 even IF they're interested in motorsports
