Williams have finished in Jerez but McLaren are staying another day. Does anyone know who will drive? Would really like to see LH's pace after updates.

Also does anyone no on what sort of stints HK did those times.

Well things looking up. Wonder how they found the time, or rather how they found where they were loosing it. If they have nailed it then presumably they will continue to improve. If Heikki made those times I'd love to see what Lewis does. The gap to the Braun will be less with him driving.

as the track gets more rubber on it from days of testing its only natural for the times to get even lower if Brawn was still on i would say they could break into the 16's :yikes:

So you think Mclaren arnt really improving then?

I mean surly the rubber would be blown away over night and dimmish so they would be a slight improviment but not a SECONDS worth.

no they have improved but how much is hard to know exactly without everyone doing the same thing at the same time! but its like a race weekend. by the race on Sunday the rubber build up aids traction, compared to a green track which is slippery

Yeh i agree with that but as i've heard Webber say a few times in between tests the other cars like the GT's that go with the F1 event pull up the rubber.

so on a sunday its pretty rubbish again.

I see what your saying tho but i think it would of reached a plauto by say Monday - Tuesday so the tracks in the best possible condition then and obviously the time's mclaren are setting are pretty relevent

That rear bodywork looks beastly. And it's nice to see how they haven't copied the diffuser design from BRAWN too. You have to admire how fast they have improved that car.

Also really glad to see how fast Williams actually are! Its going to be such a good season this year. Three british teams, two british drivers and a very tight grid.

Jesus, only eight days left until Fri Practice!

EDIT : Found a pic of the new diffuser McLaren used today (19th March)

Image

Now that looks beastly.
